Eight feet tall

In Sarasota county, Florida, on Siesta Key Beach, Jeff Hindman was walking along the beach on Tues at around 7 a.m. He discovered an 8 foot tall figure that was made of bright green, yellow and red fiberglass. Along his chest, the words “No real than you are” were composed. On his back, the number eight and a name were placed. The name was “Ego Leanard.”

The appearance sparked a lot of speculation in the neighborhood. A woman spoke to a local TV station and said, "I kind of think it's from the Unidentified Flying Object individuals, I really do." Legoland theme park, which opened in Winter Haven recently, might just be doing a publicity stunt.

Statement made from Lego

This statement was sent to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office by Legoland representatives:

"This activity is in no way sponsored or endorsed by The Lego Group or Merlin Entertainments, who run Legoland attractions. Hope you've given Mr. Lego Imposter his one phone call and an attorney!"

Other huge Lego men

This isn't the 1st time something like this has occurred. There were two other beaches discovered with large Lego men. It has only been three years since then. That was when both were discovered. They were found all over. Zandvoort, Holland was where one was found. The other washed up in Brighton, England.

Art found other places

Many paintings on Dutch site “Prescription Art” have Ego Leanard in them too. Several slogans are put on the Lego figure. These slogans say things such as "Play by the rules," "Devotion," "Wait here," "How are you doing," "I love you" and "No real than you are."

Ego Leonard gives his mission statement on the site:

"My name is Ego Leonard and according to you I come from the virtual world. [This is] a world that, for me, represents happiness, solidarity, all green and blossoming, with no rules or limitations. Lately however, my world has been flooded with fortune-hunters and people drunk with power. And many new encounters in the virtual world have triggered my curiosity about your way of life. I am here to discover and learn about your world and thoughts. Show me all the beautiful things that are there to admire and experience in your world. Let’s become friends, share your story with me, and take me with you on a journey through beautiful meadows, words, sounds and gestures."

His reason in Florida is unknown. Still, he will be held by local police force. “Mr. Leonard is being kept in a secure environment until his owner comes forward,” the police report said.
