My anniversary is coming up and I think I'd like to get my wife an iPad.
Aside from the usual stores, Amazon, and ebay, does anyone here know of another resource I should be checking?
I'd be looking for a small one (16 or 32 GB) because she won't use it for more than an facebook or Plants vs Zombies machine. Also, wifi only is fine, because she has an iPod for those on the move times when she'd need the internet.
Not looking for the latest and greatest.
Who knows, maybe someone here has one they no longer need.
Craigslist? Best Buy?
My husband the tech nerd says that deals on iPads are difficult since Apple keeps such tight price controls. He said there may be a new iPad coming out (repeat "may") be a new one out in October, in which case the current model might have price reduction in some stores.
Craigslist may be worth a shot... and yes, Apple loves to corner the market on their own (and other peoples') technology in order to drive up price.
The anniversary isn't until November, so I have time to explore.
Reviews on this little guy seem very very good.
Can be had for 129.99 right now at Wal*Mart, with $28 2-year protection plan including drops/spills/etc.
Specs pretty much mirror the Nexus 7. Includes GPS, bluetooth, sd card slot, HDMI, front and back cameras; some of which aren't on iPad.
I may pick it up and if she doesn't like it, still get her an iPad. It can be my ACIV:BF companion app machine to play while watching TV.
