Hi everyone, welcome to my speedrun of Assassin's Creed Revelations DLC, The Lost Archive. It was meant to be a single-segment 100% run, but it's finally individual levels.

All memories where completed at 100% before recording these videos. Memories 1 to 5 where recorded on 2013-05-19, memory 6 on 2013-05-20 and memory 7 on 2013-05-21.

The run was recorded on PC, using keyboard and mouse all the time. The maximum resolution is 1280x720 (IQ and XQ versions).

You may sometimes notice I use flat blocks rather than slope blocks to go up; simply because it's faster.
Before moving on to the details, some things about the moves in this DLC. If the speed when moving forward is 6, then the speed when strafing or going backwards is 4, and going forward + strafing (at 45 degrees) gives 5.

before I watch this, were you able to break the loop without entering the loop? ... if that makes sense ...

I'm guessing yes.

If I understand correctly, I'm guessing... no. I broke the loop before recording the videos.

OH.... ok... hence the "All memories where completed at 100% before recording these videos" part.

I thought you were originally planning this as a speed run from scratch -- with collecting all 20 things as you went.

Did you ever found out if you could collect all 20 and skip "the loop?"

Yes, you can collect all 20 fragments, quit the memory 7 to replay memory 5 and break the loop. But in that case you won't have 100% completion for memory 7. Does this answer your question?

Edit: I thought this run would have more interest for you, here at THB (not necessarily front page!). Anyway, don't take it personnally, I'm not angry at all.

I think it was missed by Stabguy, Ian or Lisa. Definitely frontpage-worthy.

Sure, I'll front-page it! The article didn't mention the total time of the speedrun. I found 28:37 on the playlist and added "under 29 minutes" to the title.

Yes, that's how I timed it. I don't know how SDA will time it. But it's a pretty good estimation of the player-control time anyway.

Huh, so that means it was basically about as long as Portal? Considering the record for beating portal was a few minutes less than that.

Good job, dude!

At this point, are there any AC runs you DON'T own? Has Brotherhood been run?

Maybe next you can do the Tyranny of King Washington. That certainly seems runable... and I bet you could do some very interesting things with the animal powers to cut time that I'm not even going to try to think up.

Yes, AC1 (Phi is gonna run it) and AC3 (I don't like it much).

I don't own the DLC. Also, as already said, I don't like AC3 much and I won't run it.
