Associate Producer Jean-Francois Boivin says:
"I don't think there's going to be an Assassin's Creed in 2011. I think we're going to let it breathe a bit and really focus on bringing something new and exciting for the next time around. This [Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood] is the end of Ezio's story. This is it."
When asked about how long this hiatus might be, his response was
We need to keep it fresh though; we need to keep it relatively close by, because we have to keep the interest there. I don't think we do a service to this license if we pull a Duke Nukem on people, you know what I'm saying? It's hard to answer."
Good. AC3 needs as much development time as it can get.
We can also fully savor AC: Brotherhood then.
I'd rather wait a long time for a brilliant game. I was shocked when I heard about AC:B and was dubious about the quality of it. After seeing the videos I'm not too worried but AC3 needs a long time to wrap up and explain the fantastic but very complicated story
Remember what I said about AC3 coming out on December 21st, 2012?
Looks a bit more likely now, doesn't it

I'm pretty sure most of us already deduced the date by the time you said that.
Haha, yeah, as soon as I read this, I knew that when I scrolled down I would see FLAE mention his prediction again.
Ahhh, the good old days of FLAE making a prediction, me shooting it down, him turning out to be right in the end.
(but I still stand by what I said before, they wouldn't release a videogame that close to Christmas, companies usually give people at least a month to do their Christmas shopping, not 3 or 4 days)

Exactly. Far more video games are sold in November than any other month of the year. They would never give up tons of potential Christmas sales just for a poetic release date. Many people wouldn't be playing it until the 25th of December anyhow.
This game will come out in November (if it's released in that quarter), guaranteed.
It'd be interesting to see, though, if sales drop significantly anyway because people don't do Christmas shopping that year because they think they'll be dead before December 25th
A lot of people are buying into this whole thing, I expect there might even by rioting. At least Britain gets to be the last holder of the Olympic games though hey?
I expect the suicide rate to quadruple overnight as well.
i expect everyone to go crasy and do everything they always wanted that they normaly can't do...and kil themselves they day after from shame
I cannot wait until December 22, 2012. Maybe the government's banking on the sudden decrease in the world's population to solve that overpopulation problem we keep hearing about...
Al Gore: WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT OVERPOPULATION
Government: Don't worry, we invented the myth of the world ending 2012.
Al Gore: I don't see the connection...
Government: We've got it all planned out: we just wait for the the population to kill themselves.
Al Gore: Ingenious
Sorry for the double post, but I think this deserves its own space.
The Ubi CEO just said that it's not the game developers' choice to make whether to release an AC game in 2011, which means that
1) We may get another console AC game in 2011
2) It will probably be bad quality, given that Patrice has left, and Boivin belief that the license needs a break seems to be conflicting with the CEO's business plan.

Yves Guillemot's an idiot. Whose decision is it not to make a game, beyond the people who would make it? Hopefully there is no AC in 2011, or at worst it's a handheld title [probably Lost Legacy].
Yeah, hopefully.
