In this video I applied the "Superjump Exploit" (credits to aurllcooljay) to reach the Papal Guard on the platform. The trick is to place a worker under the platform, then use the air tackle to give you extra height during the leap, and then grab the platform surface.
Obviously the Papal guard can't be assassinated, he's unresponsive to any attack and even to smoke bombs. I used a worker to make him fall from the platform and then fall in the water.
For the cutscene i expected to see an invisible guard or something like that, but when the cutscene starts the guard appears again like nothing happened, and he'll start running away normally.
The video includes also few funny glitches, like the invisible bridges that were programmed to break during the chase.
Just out of curiosity, what cap card is this? Easycap? I wonder because I sold my Dazzle to my friend and I want another cap card to record AC vids in the future,

Yes I used Easycap, it's cheaper than Dazzle and the video/audio quality is pretty good ... but as you can notice in this video I did a mistake with the audio settings XD
The audio in Dazzle is far better than Easycap but Idc, I can't use either because i have an HD tv so my only choice is an HD PVR or else my xbox is out of sync

Actually, I now record via a Philips DVDR75. The quality is good for SD, the audio is good and I experience very little lag. I play on a HDTV.
You can also just split the video signal using a splitter. You just put the Xbox signal in the splitter, have one of the outs run to the capture card and the other out to your TV.

Yeah but if my xbox isn't connected to my TV via HDMI, it lags from the time I hit X to the time Ezio pulls out his hidden blades.
I couldn't choose... I purchased the DLC with Uplay points (on PC). I don't know what to do in order to complete those lairs now.
I got the DLC without lairs, since I already had them. Saved my a few euros.
So there's a DLC with lairs and a DLC without lairs? That's strange.
Also there are two "genes" in the DNA (secret locations), white as if I had finished the missions, but the cursor can't go on them...
You don't have the DLC with lairs, I think.
Where are those templar lairs? I haven't seen them...
By the way, is there something else that's hidden in the game and that I haven't done yet? xD

I finally found the two doors, but I can't interact with them and they don't appear with eagle vision... what's wrong?
Question: What happens if you point your gun/crossbow at the papal guard when he isn't on his platform anymore?
Also, this mission came with the Codex Edition in Europe, and then with the DaVinci Disappearance for the rest of the people.

The Codex Edition was such a waste of money. Other than the nice box, codex book and character cards, everything else is available somewhere else (DLC, OST and Lineage)
What if you use the superjump exploit, use the lift, return and continue the cutscene? Will he be stuck at that point, unable to go further?
It might be like the last Romulus tomb where the lift can only be used by the npc, but it's worth trying.
I assume this is part of the Da Vinci Disappearance? And good job with the exploits, now you're thinking like an Aurel.

Yes, it's one of the two Templar Lairs included in Da Vinci Disappearance DLC.

I tried it, of course. Only the Papal Guard is allowed to use the lifts
