Infiltration
After starting the memory "Last Man Standing" Ezio loses high profile abilities. One exception to this is jumping off walls.
So run at the scene starter and jump at an angle to catch onto the nearby free running platform. You only have a short moment and have to catch onto the middle. When you have successfully caught on, move right and jump directly off. Then climb alongside the building and jump to the side to another building. You can now get past the memory walls that normally prevent you from escaping the area without starting the scene. Now what interesting thing can you do here? Not much. You can't reach the execution platform before the scene starts, and it doesn't help that you can't do more than walk/run and gentle push.

Ezio Shows Up Late
Here's something interesting: If you are in a roof garden when the scene starts, Ezio doesn't appear for a small part of the scene. I guess water isn't the only thing.

Other Observations
The result of being in "ghost mode" when you start the memory before the scene is guards cannot fight you. When their SSI arrows turn completely red they say the usual dialogue when they are about to attack you, but you become anonymous again. Another thing is when you go inside a bank (basically any of the buildings in the game where you can loot chests and are usually guarded) you regain the ability to attack. However you lose the ability when you step outside.

That last part is very strange. If I remember correctly, in ACII, going into a bank actually REMOVES all ability to attack. It takes away everything but the ability to walk and Loot, right? Ghost Mode does the opposite. Weird.

Actually no. Jack Reacher shows in his codex video that you can attack while inside a bank. I think you lose the ability to jump and maybe run, but that's about it. Now as for this being useful, you may be able to kill an important character when it shouldn't be possible if there are any opportunities in the game. Anyone want to look for something like that?

An invisible barrier prevents characters from going in the bank.

Well done. You've been sitting on this one for a while, haven't you?

Have you tried bumping one of the guards into the bank, attack another and see what happens?
