looks like the Saints are going to lose to the skins of all teams...I'm about to scream
anyone going to chat btw? I see many ppl on right now
Saint's just tied the game! Well anyway...I know most of you guys don't care..but I'm going nuts!
lol well whoever wins or won i hope its your team
hehe, they pulled it off in OT with a field goal...thx for rooting for me!
I was watching the game and rooting for the Saints! Congrats on maintaining the perfect season.
Regarding the turnover in overtime, the replay official got the call right. It was clearly a fumble if you look at it from both angles. My question is about the whistle. Did you notice whether the whistle blew before the Saints recovered the ball? The dreaded "inadvertent whistle" often renders an otherwise reversible call moot. Nobody mentioned that during the coverage of the game.
Also, not charging the Saints with a timeout was the right thing to do but I think it's outside of the rules. There are no coach's challenges in overtime. It was a booth review. Technically speaking, the timeout was unrelated to the review.
Ok great the saints won but the Bears barely beat the Rams. And the Bulls lost to the Nets last night. Chicago is falling apart...
In other news Nebraska got screwed over Saturday night against Texas. Now Texas gets to go to the NC because their more popular than Nebraska and the officials were biased.

Stab and I had a discussion about this topic and agree that the officials now have a "play through the whistle" rule although neither of us are quite sure what this rule entails since stab can't find any description of it. This link might help make sense of that if anyone interested.
