I understand you guys probably know about HTML5 already, but if you don't it's basically going to replace Flash in the years to come, and it will be compatible with iPhone, iTouch, IPad, etc. It's still in development, but there's a Beta for it available for Youtube so you can test it out. It actually works really well, and it improves video quality as well as loading time. Here's the link:
There are some system requirements, such as you need to run it on Google Chrome or Safari, and I don't believe it works with Firefox, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyway test it out and see if you like it. You could probably join the Beta and then watch some of Ian's videos here through HTML5!
It's definitely something to keep an eye on. It's the future of the internet, after all. And a good one, because I never liked Flash.
Firefox supports some HTML5 features, and I think that Internet Explorer does as well. It's mainly the lack of decision over the video standard that is causing problems.
