found this on wikipedia, and thought it was interesting enough to share:
I can't blame the Pazzi for hating the Medici tbh. The Pazzi had knights in their history and a long line of nobility whereas the Medici 'bought' their way in by financing a pope and buying favors. The Medici were never really a noble family, just rich merchant/bankers. But that gives them no excuse to just kill off ppl that were smarter then they were. It's a fascinating history. (Kind of like as if the Bush family would have murdered the Clintons...haha)
The difficult thing about history in general is who is telling it...stories conflict depending on who is supported at the time so historians are stuck trying to weed away the bullshit to get at the truth. I'm still not sure they really have it right.
Haha, cool. It references AC2!
Money is usually earned, being born into nobility is pure luck, lilk. So, I think that reason is completely invalid. No one should have a born right to be powerful leaders.
Oh, I completely agree Shred. Doesn't mean they are unwarranted in their jealousy. But like I said, it still doesn't give them reason to murder people, but pissed? Yeah I get that...lol
