The Hidden Blade Assassin's Creed in Depth

I'm not a big fan of heavy metal (unless you're one of those people who thinks Led Zeppelin fits the category).

In my opinion, Sweet Child o' Mine was one of the finest written songs in the genre - beautiful and yet unmistakably metal. It came from an unlikely source at an unlikely time. Guns N' Roses were hard to take seriously and seemed destined for an early break up. They coughed up this gem at a time when heavy metal's popularity suffered a major decline. I know you weren't around in the 1980's, doomkiller, but heavy metal was mainstream back then. Every major market had at least one all metal radio station.

Kinda sad how "metal" isn't as artistic as it once was.

I disagree. Progressive Metal is as artistic as can be while still considered in the same genre. Dream Theater, Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine, Symphony X, Dragonforce (although they are another kind of metal). Its just that the genre has so many variants now that it becomes hard sometimes to find something good among so much shit. *cough*Hardcore*cough*

OT, just speaking Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden must be the best metal I've ever heard.

EDIT: You could even say that Iron Maiden was the first power metal band, although most people would tell you it wasn't Power metal until Helloween came.
