What are everyone's plans? Personally, I'm planning to close the curtains of my house and hope the brats in my village think I'm not in.
(Edit: I don't mind children usually, just in my street there's one kid with anger problems that tried to smash a little girls face in with a hockey stick, and another couple of lads who run round through everyone's gardens with no respect to the owners)
im about o carve a pumpkin. then friends over for dinner. then its trick or treating at 7, and maybe a halloween party after that.
I celebrated last night. I came to visit my sister and her husband in Chicago for the weekend, and last night we went to a Halloween party with some friends of theirs. Going back home tomorrow.

YOU'RE IN CHICAGO?!?!?!?
LET'S PARTY IT UP
Haha. Maybe. Whereabouts are you? I'm a couple blocks away from Horner Park.
Gooooo Cubs!

Aw man, you're all the way down in Ravenswood, and I'm about to go somewhere else for a party. I live downtown dude, I guess you're a little too far away lol. Careful, that area's pretty dangerous, and it's Halloween, so there are bound to be some pretty shady characters out there if not already (I could tell you some stories, there was this woman in Horner Park one time who my friend told me spent the whole day picking up used Heroin needles, she was wacky).
Anyway, have a safe flight back to Indy (or drive, however you got there). Do you perchance live in Gary, South Bend, or somewhere else? I don't know Northern Indiana particularly well, just the Chicagoland part.
Yeah, I'm staying in tonight anyway. My sister and her husband are off doing small group Bible studies tonight for the next couple hours.
Ravenswood... meh the place is alright. I like the apartment that my sister has here, and it's literally two blocks away from the park.
I actually live about a forty minute drive east of South Bend, over in Elkhart County. Taking the South Shore back tomorrow.
Stayin in. Haven't gone trick or treatn' since i was a kid.
Is Halloween as cool as it is painted on TV and such? We don`t celebrate it over here, and most people believe its related to demonic rituals and such. What kind of stuff you do in Halloween apart from trick or treatin'

Not much, some people go to costume parties and do stuff like bobbing for apples.
I normally carve a pumpkin and put it in the window at least but this year I did absolutely nothing. No one had a party, I didn't carve the pumpkin, no trick or treaters came to the house, there were no decent scary films on TV, nothing. Last year I dressed up as a Death Eater though
The only mildly scary thing I did this year was play a bit of Dead Space
halloween is not that widespread here. we got one group of kids asking for candy.
the bars/clubs do a costume theme party but that's about it.
and personaly i don't really want it to be more then that
This weekend on 10/30 and 10/31 was just plan awesome for me... Halloween is when good friends have tons of fun and weird sh*t happens... I was dress as Billy Mays with his fabulous black beard
I stayed at Michigan, Port Huron, in a place called "hallow scream" its a party I go to every year, it's somewhat like a reunion'.
This thread is interesting, I already kinda knew it was only a big thing in the US and the UK, but it's interesting to see it in person here.
I went to one of those cheesy haunted houses on Friday night (I want my $12 back!!!) and then Steak n' Shake afterwards (saw some haunted house actors there too!) . Went to my friend's house and owned him in Modern Warfare 2 on Saturday evening. On Sunday, I left college to say hi to the family and pick up some "Fogey snacks" (sorry) and I wanted to watch The Walking Dead premiere on AMC, but I missed it.
Since then, I've just been eating extra candy that's left.

The Walking Dead was very good. According to AMC's schedule it will be on again this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you get the chance, I highly recommend it.
Sweetness!
Anyone going to haunted houses or other Halloween-related events? Yesterday night I went to a Halloween party. It also had a costume contest, of which I won second place (the first place winner wore a fancy suit and hat with horns. Kind of like that--> + . He got into character by trying to convince people to sign a paper that sold their souls). Some people claimed to be genuinely scared by my costume.

you say that, and you don't post pics.
for shame
Here's the perfect Halloween costume for the ladies of The Hidden Blade: Sexy George Washington!

My guess is that Aurel wore this.

Yeah, that's right, and I scarred them all for life (reminds me of the time some guy dressed up as that girl from Sucker Punch last Halloween)! No, my costume is more original scary.

Alright, alright. I was planning to. Just let me wait for the people who took the pictures to post them. It could take a while.
Well here it is.
I got the mask and weapon from a Halloween store a couple of weeks ago. There were several different kinds of masks there. Most just covered the face, which I didn't like because you could see the person's eyes. There was also a rubber mask that covered the whole head (looks like the one from the Final Friday), but it cost too much. This one is called bleeding mask because you can pump fake blood through it. And as for the weapon, there were a bunch of kinds. There was one that looked like it was made of real metal, but I went for the one that had fake blood in it. Another tempting weapon was a dagger that played the creepy violin music when you pushed a button. With that I wore a green button down shirt and jeans. Right before I went to the party I decided to put on a pair of dark gloves.
Sick.
Halloween has come and gone this year, but I still have a party to look forward to. A late party is a good idea with the stores selling their leftover Halloween stuff at a discount, plus being able to feel the holiday joy twice.
I didn't know which thread Aurel used to post his costumes in years past... so I'll just post mine here.
