This could be the best modern day portion in an AC game yet.
Finally some new posts!
Keep in mind that the original Abstergo where Vidic died was the main building in Italy. This is Abstergo Entertainment, a different branch of the company possibly in Canada (since Ubisoft is based there, why not).
I thought Abstergo's main research facility was in Philadelphia? That's where the Lost Archives were, right?
But I can't identify that skyline...
The Italian facility Desmond was at wasn't their main one, I don't think. It was Vidic's base for the Animus program, but It's not ridiculous to think that they might have transferred Animus tech development somewhere else, since they lost Vidic and a sizable chunk of personnel.
And yep, Abstergo Entertainment is a newer branch of the company.
BTW, I got all these images from Darby McDevitt's Assassin's Creed twitter takeover. Go read those tweets if you want to see the context these pictures were provided in, and some answers to other questions.
Looks cool to explore, reminds me of the first game just with lots and lots of people... xD;
Yeah, I also liked when we got to see the non-guard abstergo workers in AC3. Really makes the building feel alive, rather than a series of enemy encounters (which it technically was, but I appreciate when games at least trick me if they can't do the real thing)
OH GUYS I FORGOT:

"Early in the project I demanded that AC4's present be set in Montreal & since I get every 9th thing I ask for, I made 8 lame requests first."
So yeah, it's in Montreal.
I knew it!
