I posted it there cuz for whatever reason I couldn't get this site to load and I was mad (at the game)...but it's all good now...thought I would bring it here too though in case anyone else has run into the same issue.
Here's a glitch for ya, lilk.
ROFL! crazy. I actually figured out my own 'glitch' and it's just an embarrassing user error.
was it that you held in the button instead of tapping it?
i've had one glitch where i killed an archer on a roof, he fell down, but his head sort of went inside the wall so he was left hanging there on the wall
only glitch ive encountered so far is the one where you fall thru the ground. in ac2, they put a big ocean in the underworld, so you dont die from the fall. i have this recorded if anyone is interested.

I've seen that happen in a lot of games. It makes my neck hurt just thinking about it...

I've never fallen through the world in either AC, but I know the bug occurs. I've seen other recent games also do the water thing to prevent an unfair death. It's a good idea.
I had it happen in one of the assassin areas where I fell into the water behind a wall and just kept swimming around all the graphics...needless to say I had to restart the game.
(and yes Rob, I was pushing the B button instead of tapping it)
Anyone else get a red target stuck either on themselves or directly ahead of them after completing (or even during) assassination contracts (on the HUD map)? It's the most annoying thing and I end up restarting the game just to remove it.

Yes! I had a red target stuck on me in the GPS. Another time I got a yellow arrow (suspicious guard) stuck in the middle of the screen ahead of Ezio. Each took a reboot to fix.
I have had those two issues as well. The yellow arrow only happened once, but the red target on the minimap happened numerous times.
Neither has happened to me, but I've only stacked up 10 hours playing time...
I recently experienced the stuck yellow arrow..I think it went away when I got back in the city and took another assassination quest though but the red target one never seems to go away. I think I just experienced another one too. In Venice, the one assassin tomb with the 4 puzzles? where you have to climb and jump on the handbar things before time runs out? One time (after failing it) I restarted it and the handbar never fell again (the doors in the ceiling stayed open but there was no handlebar) so I had to reboot..and go figure it was my 4th so when I came back I had to start over! Gah!

Actually, even though it doesn't show it, it's usually still there. It's just invisible. You can still jump and grab it and it still counts.
I tried twice and kept wondering why I couldn't see it when I jumped. Then when I missed it the second time I looked up and saw the doors open and no bar. I decided not to waste more time with it.
On the first beat up mission in Florence, when your still young Ezio and you haven't donned the Assassins Robes yet, I came across something very odd.
After completing the Beat Up event, not the one that Claudia wants you to do, I decided for the heck of it to kick the living daylights out of this cheating husband. So I start throwing punches and tossing him around like a rag doll, and the guy won't die. I get frustrated and so I start spamming punches. Then this happens:
By some stroke of luck, the husband is facing backwards following one of my punches, and then I hit punch again because I was just pressing "x" profusely. All of the sudden I hear the hidden blade, Ezio jumps on the guy, and performs a standard running High-Profile Assassination on the husband, and upon getting up, I hear the blade retract. Now normally this isn't a problem but Ezio didn't even have his first hidden blade yet and the animation shouldn't even be available. But it happened, and I'm flabbergasted as to why. Has this happened to anyone else in the first hour of the game? And does anyone have an explanation?

I've seen a number of people talk about this phenomenon on the official forums and GameFAQs forums, though never specifically against the guy you're talking about. It's usually just against normal guards around town, and it's both with and without the robes (but always before getting the hidden blade, obviously).
For some reason there's a brief moment where the move is triggered despite you not having the hidden blade yet. It's just something QA didn't catch before retail release (and didn't fix in the first patch).

I had that happen to me too, although it was in the first fight of the game instead of the beat-up event. I think I had thrown a guy to the ground and was seeing if I could punch him while he was on the ground or not. All of a sudden Ezio does the jumping-assassination animation, I hear the hidden blade sound, and the guy apparently dies from this. It was one hell of a WTF moment.
