I thought before I go away tomorrow I would leave a video, sorry if it seems rushed.
Skip to 1:20 if you dont want to see my traveling from the bureau
Sorta similar to stabguys stylish assassinations, but done in my own style. I like to navigate to and from the bureau without being seen or killing any guards, or stirring the crowd to draw attention to myself. I don't mind killing the target and come out exposed, because the escape is the main part of this video.
Outside the bureau is a leap of faith, it's the best way to get back down to the street without people taking note of your presence. Try not to sprint whilst on the street as people take note of that as well, but simply running in high profile will get you to where you need to go in time. Careful running passed guards with their arms folded, they will also comment on you. You could use the other priests to gain access, but I prefer coming in from above, no one notices you at all when you jump down in front of them. You must pick the spot where you climb up carefully so the crowd doesn't get alerted to your presence. Once you jump down if you position yourself correctly, the guy who escapes will run straight through you in the cutscene
During the introduction scene with Garnier, I like to move Altair as close as possible to the door. Once he says "Have you people nothing better to do?" you can start walking into the building. Once the screen flashes you can start running again. I like to keep up my speed as it seems to be the best way to get passed the crazy guys that shove you. If you can get there fast enough you can easily kill Garnier.
For this escape route I highly recommend you kill Talal first, as you get the tackle ability to get passed all the people. blocking the way easier.
Instead of using the window to escape, I like to escape using the free running sequence outside the building, it seems setup perfectly as there is a haystack at the end. Getting back is easy if you are careful of the archers and stick to the roof, only use the ladder to get back on the roof.
That escape is awesome, Jack. The kill could've been a bit more stylish, IMO, but whatever. I really enjoyed watching the vid.
However, your framerate seems a bit low? Is it because of otherwise you aren't able to play?
Beautiful!
Perfectly second-tenet, and I love the dynamism of the escape. The tackle at the entrance of the hospital looks as if the guards are moving in a different timeframe than you. They are kept a step behind all the way, which looks amazing.
I cannot tell what the FPS is, but the framerate is smooth, it looks good.
Brilliant. None of them could get near you!
I haven't played AC1 for ages but this video brings it all back. I forgot how different the atmosphere was, and even things like the more simple map bring back memories
I also forgot how English the accents in this game are. All the guards are so posh while the beggars have the most ridiculous Northern accents ever, considering they're Middle-Eastern
3letter you may have watched the video too early while it was still processing.
Thanks for the comments, im going away now but I have already played up to Abul and I have plans for more vids for 2011
Thanks for the tip about just running in high profile whilst travelling through the streets, instead of sprinting. I tend to walk slowly in the streets since there are many people wandering, not to mention pot carries and box carriers, which seem to walk into me as I get closer to them. I used the broken window as an exit, although it took me a while to find it. And I love the way you swung from those poles and landed in the hay
