How goes it, fellow members of THB? I just wanted to let you know that I just got back from a ten-day trip to Italy and, in true AC-fan style, decided to do my best to scale (and by this I mean I got my feet off the ground, but not all that much higher) structures we all virtually climbed in ACII and ACB. Once I get the pictures together, I'll post them here and we can have a little contest to see who knows his or her Italian architecture/AC the best.

P.S. There was one structure that I took a different route up than Ezio, but feel relatively confident I could have gotten near the top.

Slowly, but surely, the job gets done.

There was a kid on GameFaqs who was headed to Florence and announced his intention to scale the Duomo like Ezio. Then he came back all surprised that the Polizia busted him when he was just getting started. That was funny.

You won't even feel the blade.

Hint: I know for a fact that Il Duomo is not one of the 6 TMA achieved... Wink

Anything with a barricade around the outside of it (Il Duomo) or scary, albeit it sillily dressed, Swiss guards (i.e., anything in Vatican City) was NOT scaled on the trip, although I almost assuredly looked at said buildings and said, "I could scale that."

I got one of the pictures in, now it's time to get the rest of them before uploading them.

Slowly, but surely, the job gets done.

I have to say, my brother sent me over pictures he has of one location and they are fantastic. Looks like I've got the run up and then the wall grab for this spot. Once I gather them all, I'll let you guys figure out where I am.

I thought about this post when I had class next to the Dom in Utrecht.

Every time I walk past I picture different routes to scale that bad boy. The tower would make a nice viewpoint, and I did get to the top of it once, but that was in the tourist fashion, not the assassin fashion.

112m / 367ft tall, that would make for a nice climb, wouldn't it?

To be fair, we could classify that as "blending with the masses" and thus is WOULD be in assassin fashion.

Even MORE so.

Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent
Hide in plain sight
Never compromise the Brotherhood

Nothing in there about climbing on buildings, running on roofs etc and showing everyone in sight that you are an Assassin, but there IS hide in plain sight... One of the reasons I never got fully into multiplayer, if I'm being honest.

This is one of the reasons I'm happy the marksmen were added for ACIV, despite how often I curse their existence during missions. It's nice that guards are sensitive to movement that take place on a vertical plane as well.

Slowly, but surely, the job gets done.
