There's nothing particularly special about this video. I just liked the finishing animation.
I figured I'd throw it on my YouTube account to pave the way for upcoming AC2 videos. Though they'll have to wait until I'm finished working on the interactive maps.
Awesome video
Slow motion makes everything better
Something to note is that when using a melee finisher as an Assassination, while the screen crumble causes the visuals to slow down, it doesn't actually affect the audio. The audio plays at normal speed and ends long before the animation visually completes in slow motion, meaning you hear the 'crunch' of the final blow a second or two before the blow lands. I can hear the Ubi devs saying "Oops!".
I had to re-work the sound in my video to match up. It's still not perfectly synchronized with the animation, but it's far better than the raw version.
Nice observation Asaic! It's little things like this that make me wonder how much more awesomeness we fans failed to experience due to little "audio errors".
See. This is how walkthroughs should be posted: no HUD everywhere. It eats up a lot of the screen. Without it, we can enjoy a cinematic experience of 2 Italians beating the shit outtta each other.
I disagree, I think most people who watch walkthroughs do so because they don't have the game, therefore prefer to see as much as the game "system" as possible. For example, someone who never played the first AC wouldn't understand a thing about the tutorial without the synch bar.
But for short videos like these intended as extra fun for those who already played the game, it is indeed better to take off all the HUD, since it isn't the main focus of the video.
Agreed. I still use all my HUD's but someday, when I'm confident enough..
