Shrunken Heads are a pain. As a corpse loot drop they are extremely rare. There's only one in a chest in Rome (south across the river from Ezio's hideout, then a bit further southwest along the road). There is another in a chest in "The Sixth Day" Followers Lair. And that's it for fixed locations. So either get those two or pray for an extremely unlikely loot drop. Sad

Here's a quick pic:

It's around the location of the reticle. You have to approach from the south and jump down onto the ledge its on.

Borgia couriers can supply aconite. There seem to be fewer of them in this game than in AC2, which makes farming them somewhat difficult.

This is a method that has been kicking around on GameFAQs. Take a tunnel to the Thieves Guild. When you arrive, climb up on top of the tunnel entrance and look toward the road (away from the Thieves Guild). Wait. It takes a minute to a minute-and-a-half, but a Borgia courier should appear out on the road, headed toward you. You may see the white arrow before you see him. Tackle and harvest, rinse and repeat.

I got my aconite from tackling a courier about 3 times. In sequence 4, memory 6 (or vice versa, I can't remember), there's a mission that starts out with a courtesan crying. Load the memory, but don't start the mission. Instead, go 11 o'clock from where you're standing (forward + left, northwest from your view, etc.) about 2 or 3 blocks. After a few seconds, there should be a courier running down the street every time. I suggest getting on the roofs so he doesn't notice you and you can just air tackle him with ease. Big smile

I've seen a courier running everytime I took the rooftop exit of the hideout. You just need a way down and you can catch him.

Don't forget that in sequence 2 you have to chase a thief and a courier. Just replay the memories, poison them but don't punch since that will desynchronize the mission. Wait till they are nearly dead from the poison, then quickly grab and throw them. If you are fast enough you can see what item you get if you loot them before the memory ends.

i found if you if u tackle either the thief or courier in those scripted missions immediately after you tackle them u can HB them and kill them and u wont get desynched and loot em nice and simple :]

The two Shrunken Heads are:
1. Inside the Palazzo Laterano Lair of Romulus ("The Sixth Day") in the Vaticano Antico District.
2. In the treasure chest on the hillside in Antico (map pictured above).

For the one in the Romulus Lair, play through to the Basilica. Face the stairs that lead to the door Ezio must break open. Look for a treasure chest in a hallway to your right.

In fairness to Asaic, he did mention both of these locations in this topic.

You won't even feel the blade.

If you've already completed this Lair of Romulus then you can play it again to get the treasure. Go to your DNA strand, select Secret Locations and find "The Sixth Day".

You won't even feel the blade.

The gold wolf symbol represents the location of the Treasures of Romulus (the Armor and Dagger of Brutus). You need all six keys to open it.

The regular black wolf icons represent Lairs of Romulus. When you complete a Lair the icon disappears from the map (you can still replay the Lair from the DNA strand).

There are six Lairs of Romulus in total. It sounds as if you've completed "The Halls of Nero", "Wolves Among The Dead" and "Thrown To The Wolves". That's how you obtained three keys. The other three wolf icons are the remaining Lairs.

so both of the best armor, the exotic shop one and the romules one you can only get in the end of the game`?

I think "The Sixth Day" becomes accessible at the beginning of Sequence 8.

You won't even feel the blade.

I was clearing "The Sixth Day" without even remembering that the chest was there, yesterday, and I finally got my last shrunken head. So I'm done all the f**kin shop quests. I'm going to sell every single item I have left. And when I see a borgia messenger or thief run past, I'm going to IGNORE them. PRAISE THE LORD!

I think they may have changed the locations of the lairs on the PC version, the one in the Vatican District is the one where you chase the cardinal, not the Sixth Day, and they added investing ( I LOVE INVESTING FOR SHOP QUEST ITEMS Laughing out loud)

Investing allows you to put money in a shop, after you can collect money (20 minutes or whatever is left) you get more than what you paid back (or less sometimes) and at 3000, 5000, and 10000 florins, you get an object which appertains to that type of shop shop quest, and if you invest 1000000 in all the shops of the same type you get a shrunken head, makes the game much better for the shop quest things IMO.

I'll probably make a video showing it in the near future.

I just logged on here to correct myself! The Sixth Day is located in Palazzo Laterano, by flag #69 in the Antico District. That's good news for you, Belnick. It means you can get those Shrunken Heads earlier in the game. I just confirmed that they're in the treasure chest at the end of the hallway to your right as you face the staircase inside the Basilica.

Thanks, StrikerZ. I would hope that other members correct me when I misspeak.

Yep. That's the one.

Look for a hallway on the ground floor in the front-right corner of the basilica. It's entrance is adjacent to the staircase that passes to the right of the big cross.

This is by far the easiest route to go as far as courier farming. I found that when I took a tunnel entrance to the thieves guild the courier was always there and sometimes showed up a little earlier than a minute/minute 1/2. THIS IS A GREAT TIP! I HIGHLY recommend!

Thanks everyone! Laughing out loud
