Hi everyone, I'm asking for some help about the part where you escape after having killed Tarik in Sequence 6. My plan so far is the following :
1. Kill Tarik by any mean
2. Go to the zipline, south-east of the camp
3. Ride it till the end
4. Go to the rooftop on the left (right over the street) and jump down to the street
5. Run straight forward to the sewers
6. Go past the sewers, on the right, to hide with the romanis
7. Once the alert is over, use superblending to walk outside of the marked area
8. Return to the sewers to continue the adventure
The problem is, when I reach the place around the sewers, some janissaries appear randomly. If this does not trigger a red alert again, it makes the waiting time with the romanis much longer. I can destroy the scaffold on the way, or throw a smoke bomb, but those "ghost" janissaries (yes, they suddenly disappear in case of desync) always make it longer.
I can't get a consistent way to escape the janissaries and the marked area, and then to use the sewers, as fast as possible. Any ideas?
So no one has any clue about this?
Haven't played the came in like a million years, so I can't help you.
This question is pretty specific to speedrun planning. After killing Tarik, I probably took a casual 10 minute jog to the next objective on the map (don't remember). Someone would have to load up the game to see what you're talking about and try to help.
It sounds like this part spans two memories in Sequence 6. Is it possible to replay a memory and observe the problem? If so, which memory?
I might actually try do this assassination seeing as I haven't done many in ACR, and il try do one of my Escape routes, it wont be a speed run though if thats what your looking for.
The name of the memory where you kill Tarik and escape is Honor, Lost and Won.
Yes, you can replay the memory to check, it's Sequence 6 Memory 2.
Firstly, I just want to know if janissaries appear randomly, on the way I indicate to escape, for you too, especially around the sewers.
Then I'd like to find a fast and consistent way to : 1) escape 2) return to the sewers.
I would suggest trying to make sure the Jannisaries do appear and using a specially crafted Bomb. Either Caltrops or Frag Sticky. I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a shot.
Like I said before, the janissaries near the sewers appear completely in a random manner. For instance, I've already seen 0,2,3,5,etc of them ; and they vaporize suddendly if Ezio dies.
I have a smoke bomb left in the game, and I may use it there (perhaps at step 6). But it would take longer to craft a special bomb at another moment than waiting one more yellow alert to stop.
Nevertheless, I wonder if I can do the following :
steps 1 and 2
3. Ride it until dropping to the street
4. Go to the left and use the bomb for the 4 blocking janissaries
steps 5 to 8
In fact, the strategy I mention above is quite bad, because it's even more random than the other. I think I'll keep my first plan and manipulate luck.
By the way, if anyone finds a strategy faster than ~17 seconds (from cutscene to opening the door) for an anonymous blitz on the first chief of the cistern (sequence 3), don't hesitate to tell me.
Exposed blitz with smoke bomb doesn't work? Or don't you have any smoke bombs left?
It doesn't work because there are guards anywhere (especially near the target and near the door). And if I use a smoke bomb after the Tarik assassination, I don't have any left (the others are in 1: sequence 3 with the romanis and 2: sequence 7 to get back to the prison).
If you'd like to know, my plan for this is : climb on the first "pillar", then go to the other side (ceiling level), throw a diversional bomb to the guards on the left, throw a knife for the target, then get to the door (the guards on the right are looking for the noise).

That shouldn't be a problem since you can craft as many bombs as you want from the weapon wheel as long as you have enough ingredients. You only need the crafting table when you want to create a different bomb than the one you have in your inventory.

The problem is I can't get the ingredients without loosing time, so I'd rather keep my strategy.
