Obama is re-elected. Gotta say, I was insanely anxious that Romney was going to win this one. Now our women can keep their uterus-y rights! Laughing out loud

I don't really care about the presidential election, but it seems that marijuana legalization has won in Washington state and Colorado, which is historical in a big way.

The most surprising thing there is that it WASN'T legalized in Oregon... that is EXTREMELY surprising to me. Washington and Colorado don't surprise me.

If I were to list the states most likely to legalize, in order, it would be:
1. Colorado
2. Oregon
3. Washington
4. California
So the fact that it didn't pass in Oregon surprised me more than passing in the two states that did.

Then again... I'm sure the federal government will have something to say about the laws... as federal law can supersede local laws.

Just glad the election is over. No more silly politics for four years.

*two years

and don't think those midterm elections won't start a year early... you have about 10 months to relax... maybe... politicking never stops.

Those crafty Templars, always trying to get in power.
As I mentioned to my friend last night, "Obama wants to let people have their rights be free and available, Romney wants to control people more strictly. Sounds familiar.." *posts link of Templar-Assassin conflict*

It was never really close. Romney's much touted "momentum" actually ended on October 12. After that, Obama rose steadily in the polls to surpass his widest margin of the whole campaign. It wasn't just one event like a debate or his response to hurricane Sandy. The press kept saying it was a toss-up because that makes for entertaining television and keeps viewers interested.

You won't even feel the blade.

Wait... where have I read about Mormon's being involved with the Assassins/Templars/PoEs? Oh yeah... right here.

No...it's more like that both candidates are in affiliation with the Templar.

Actually, I'd say Templars are democrats and the Patriots are republican. Templars are enforcing their central plan at the expense of individual liberty, for the greater good of course. And never mind that they start wars like crazy and lock people up for dissent, they are totally about peace and human rights. I mean, who really owns themselves, society wouldn't exist without the Templars/government.

Patriots are about liberty for everyone. Well, everyone in their buddy club anyway. Government should totally leave you alone. Except if you're doing something they don't like. Men should be free to succeed and fail of their own accord. Except, if we like you, in which case we'll abuse others to help you. Finally all rights are absolute. Except when their subservient to our wars on terror, drug, redcoats and loyalists. And government should be small, but the military should be huge.

Wait, these guys sound kinda similar...

P.S. If you can't tell, I'm endorsing neither group, past or present.

So that leaves us the Assassins. Who would they be?

Someone here in this forum topic?

I've been planning to make a video about what I call the beggar conspiracy.

The core is the difference between Altair's presence in the city and Ezio's presence. Altair is more self-sufficient. Ezio is more dependent on the goals of his allies.

The theory is of course a parody of itself, but the point is that the thieves, beggars and vigilantes are the social ancestors of the thieves, mercenaries and courtesans. And that they take control by the time of the renaissance, and thus the assassin loses their omnipotent position.

Anyway, the point is that Altair is not really a friend of the poor. The concept of personal freedom, personal autonomy and personal self-determination is not accompanied by any social sensitivity and social responsibility in the assassin ideology.

So in today's terms it's more an American libertarianism. And not social anarchism.

Like Ron Paul.
