During the mission you have to find and kill an isolated Janissary (an Ottoman guard). For some reason, the developers didn't make the Janissary or any of the guards patrolling suspicious of you, so the mission is already a breeze. The full sync requirement is to kill the Janissary from a hiding spot. After killing the Janissary, you have to hide him in a haystack.
According to IGN, this 100% sync requirement is a bit difficult. I disagree.

I discovered that neither the Janissary nor the patrolling guards are suspicious of Ezio, so you can just get up close to them. You can't be detected, though. This means that you will have to kill the Janissary without any other guards nearby and move the dead body to a haystack while avoiding guards. This can be done much easier: assassinating the Janissary low-profile from a haystack. Unfortunately, during his patrol, the Janissary doesn't get close enough to a haystack, making high-profile the only option.
Because no-one's suspicious of Ezio, it's easy to use gentle push to move the Janissary around. However, if you try it while he's on patrol, he'll just keep walking, so I make sure to do it while he's still in the (scripted) discussion with the man. This makes it so that the Janissary has no waypoint and allows me to move him to the nearby haystack, allowing for an easy kill and full sync.
It only took me 1.5 minutes to move the Janissary to the haystack (the video is played at 400% speed) and otherwise you'd have to wait, so I consider this a good way of achieving full sync on this mission, THB style. Smile

I used a crowd first time as well and it didnt work. Then I found a chest that gave me a cherry bomb, and took the hint ubi was trying to give.

I just threw a cherry bomb next to the haystack and pulled him into it.

I never thought to use diversion bombs to get him near the heystack. The first time i did this i used the nearby crowd to assassinate the Jannisary but apparently that didn't count as a hidding spot. The second run i casually bumped into to him and while he was yelling at me i slowly walked toward the haystack.

Not the stealthiest method but it worked! Tongue

Perfect example of that haha

Yeah, you can also kill guards in Masyaf in AC1 by gentle pushing them off a ledge. Tongue

I threw a cherry bomb next to the haystack and somehow the Jannisary came near so I High Profile Assassinated him from the Haystack. There was no guard patrol so I chucked him back in. But this is a REALLY nice exploit! I'm gonna try this myself soon. Gentle Pushing is slowly becoming an Assassin's deadliest weapon ^_^

Well I guess more like taking the time to set it up. Tongue

I didn't bother with the full sync for this, I just took out all the patrols one by one and then killed him were he was. : P

I was kinda impatient to finish the story...

It hardly took any time. It was the first thing that came to mind.

I think blend groups work as a hide spot, but I haven't tested it.

Jannisaries aren't suspicious because they're Ottomans. They leave Assassins alone unless they do something against the law. I guess they shouldn't tolerate gentle pushing, but getting shoved by non open conflict guards because you had to walk close by them wasn't exactly an essential or fun part of previous games.

One question I have: does a blend group count as a hiding spot?

Also, I would think it would be easier to use decoy bombs to move him.

That's probably what the devs intended.

Grazi for taking the time to figure out another way, though!
