I don't know the proces on PS3, but on Xbox 360 you go to system settings -> memory -> hard drive -> games -> Assassin's Creed II -> the DLC. Then hit 'delete' and confirm that you really want to do this.

Also, I think most of the members check out the whole forum. I wouldn't consider the fact that there are a few more active topics in the Brotherhood section an appropiate reason to post with my ACII questions in there. Shock

On the PS3, DLC is integrated into the Game Data Utility, unlike on the Xbox 360 where it is shown in a separate file. In order to delete your DLC you must also delete your Game Data:

Game > Game data Utility > ACII File

IIRC, there will probably be a couple of ACII files as I think it creates a separate profile file too. You can delete both or just the main file, it shouldn't matter. Be careful to only delete files in the Game Data Utility and not the Save Data Utility, as this is where your game saves are.

Deleting just your Game Data will remove any installed DLC, as well as the installation of the game itself. You'll need to reinstall the game disc but, provided you leave the Save Data well alone, you'll still have your save files.

Hope this helps Smile

P.S. I personally read all recent posts, especially if a user has a problem/question, and I'm sure other users do too. I don't want to lecture you but there is no need to post in the wrong forum category just to get a response so please try to keep the site tidy and correctly categorised. Hopefully Stab will move the topic soon. Thanks.

EDIT: I see it's been moved.

Yeah, I check all recent posts as well. 90% of THB users most likely do. Cool

You got that right. When AC:B came out there were a massive amount of posts. Tired
Why would anyone not want the dlc for ac2? It looks fun, and I wish I could somehow get it (can't connect to xbox live). But if you want to skip it that's what backing up game files are for.

He would still have the DLC, aurellcooljay. The DLC stays in a download list (on PS3, anyway, and I assume 360 is the same) so it can be downloaded and installed again.

I can see why playing it again everytime might get a little annoying but I too wouldn't mind having the DLC. I didn't have PSN when I first got my PS3 and now that I do, ACII has been out so long that it doesn't really seem worth it. That sounds a bit hypocritical but w/e Tongue I don;t have much time to play ACII now with newer games Smile

I've just had a look on my PS3 and it turns out that the Profile file is under Save Data Utility, not Game Data Utility as I mentioned earlier. This doesn't change much though Smile Here's what you should see and what to do:

SAVE DATA UTILITY (PS3)

Assassin's Creed II: Profile - This file contains your current configuration settings and the like. Deleting it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but there's no need.

Assassin's Creed II: Monteriggioni/Villa (or whichever city you are currently in) - This is your main game save file so leave well alone! It is clearly recognisable by the city name, synchronization %, time played and distance covered.

GAME DATA UTILITY

Assassin's Creed II - That's all its called. Nice and simple. This is basically the game installation file and also contains the DLC you want to get rid of. Delete this file and you should be sorted.

Assassin's Creed II (Update) - This, obvioulsy, contains the latest ACII updates/patches. You may or may not want to delete this. You'll have to reinstall the game disc anyway so whether the update is already installed makes little difference.

To clarify, delete files in Game Data Utility only! Hope this makes things clearer Smile

I think (on the 360 at least, not sure about PS3) if you delete the DLC, any saves that use info from the DLC become unplayable. At least thats what I remember from trying to play after I deleted it.
