For the Baron and Banker assassinations detection will result in desyncronization. You can avoid being detected by the target if you throw a smoke bomb then quickly grab him with a weapon (kill all the nearby guards first). Then you can move him anywhere you want, just be sure to throw him instead of let him go since he will probably see you. In addition there are other detection tricks on both targets.
The Banker is unresponsive for a short while when you can start assassinating him, so quickly kill the guards nearby and he won't detect you for a short time. I decide to turn him into a punching bag.
The Baron isn't quite as alert as it appears so you can sneak upon him and even hide by him without alerting him as long as you're not directly in front of him. And even then you'll still remain anonymous as long as your not close.
I really like your video, but arrrgh! I never noticed before that the Banker kills that poor courtesan! Gaaak! Excuse me, I have to go. Someone needs terminating with extreme prejudice. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Juan Borgia.
P.S. I really did enjoy your video.
I never noticed before that the Banker kills that poor courtesan!
I didn't notice it either until someone mentioned it on GameFAQs. One of the comments there says the Banker knows she stole his box of money but I don't recall that dialogue either.
it took a few times before i realized what was going on. after juan dismisses the box carrier, the guard turns away and says "where is my coin purse?" This is what the courtesan stole, and what juan is referring to when he says that he saw her take the money.

After the scene where the Banker appears he talks with the courtesan while walking towards the party. He will eventually talk about seeing the courtesans stealing the money. And sometimes she comes back to life right after he strangles her (at least when when I play it on the xbox360). But during that time he's unresponsive, so sometimes I shove him when running to quickly kill all the guards.
Nicely done, I must say. Your recording also seemed a bit better, less of those black stripes. Good job!
nicely done. it seems like this should also work in AC2. i was thinking that there are several opportunities for this in BoV. have you tried?

You mean Bonfire of Vanities? I would try, but it won't let me connect to xbox live (not sure if something is wrong with the xbox360 or the connection).
I was doing this the other day on the baron, thanks to ur Banker video. was a bit of fun lol
I'm assuming you're talking about the smoke bomb trick. People have done things like this before, like IanXO4 and Altair92, but I'm the first one to try it with the weapon grab trick.

It's probably because I don't zoom in too much. And it also helps too record with the lights off.
i suspect that the flicker can be improved if you adjust the brightness on your tv down. im not sure what settings you have on your camera, but if there is something that makes the aperture smaller (like an outdoor setting) that may also help. basically, you need to make the exposure time for each frame last long enough so that the whole screen gets painted.
Yes the smoke bomb trick, was through the Baron about, I was very bored. I know it's been done before, but i completely forgot about it till i saw ur banker vid
