Could it work in assassins creed? I was thinking the assassin recruits basically use the same gameplay mechanics as Ezio, so what if it could be possible to get like 6 players in a single player game and free roam and such?

Burnout Paradise had a really good idea for online free roaming. Imagine playing single player and when you arent on a mission you simply sign into a lobby. You are still in the exact same position, you can explore, do view points, take templar dens and collect treasure, but other players are also doing the same thing. You would see them opening boxes ( that you had already opened but who cares) and they could fight guards.

You could try assassinate them as well, so while you are free roaming you never know when an assassin is walking around in the crowds waiting to kill you, or you could work together. Hey the game is easy enough as it is, who cares if it gets super easy.

kinda like my ideas, i second this

EDIT i went to the offical AC website and posted the same topic

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

This has been discussed quite a bit before and I think I brought up Burnout: Paradise then; it really does have a great system of jumping straight into the MP without interrupting what you're doing.

I can't remember which thread we discussed it in but I think the general consensus then was that a co-op mode (with an open-world, interspersed with dens/mini-games, similar to RDR) would be an amazing addition to the AC series.

EDIT: Here is where this idea was previously mentioned.

Ubi said that they've been looking into it. It just has to make sense with the story. Once they figure that out, we'll have it. That's all they've mentioned.

Well that's promising Smile But they should just do it! For once, forget the story and do it, Ubi! It's not like Brotherhood's MP is very closely linked to the story (even with that vague 'Templar training' backstory Tongue).

It kinda is closely linked to the story, and the templar training idea isn't really that vauge. bleeding effect was already established to be usable for training, and it's implied that Desmond will have to fight these recruits at some point.

They don't mean that it has to be a pivotal story point, but that it has to make sense with the universe. And co-op just for co-op's sake with no explanation doesn't make sense.

i can't really see how co-op would work in this.

granted, i said the same thing about the competetive multiplayer when that was announced

Co-op can't be a tacked on gimic. If Ubi decides to go for co-op, then it has to be interwoven into the story as well. Either put 110% effort in it, or don't do it at all.

Don't half ass stuff.

If this is done properly and works similarly to freeroam coop in RDR (although it doesn't sound like that at the moment), my life is complete.

So a lot of stuff online seems to indicate that there will be co-op play. I'd hope that it would be on the Assassin's side. I'm bored with the Templar multiplayer. Show us what the Assassins are doing with this threat!

Hopefully we'll see that stuff in the single-player. : P

How about multiplayer is a bunch of TWCB looking into the future and playing around with different people's avatars?

Ahaha!

I'm thinking it would be a good idea to make the main menu look like this:

Singleplayer
Multiplayer
Co op
Options

I feel like Co op should be its own game type and not an add on to Desmond's singleplayer or Templar multiplayer.

Co-op Missions on the Assassin Side, this should be good..

Imagine two THB Members playing togheter as Assassins, planning strategies to strike on a Templar NPC ?

Just to think about it, makes me feel so excited..

I bet it'll be like this:
Phi: Aurel, what do I do now?
Aurel: You go there and there.
Phi: So, I'm here. What do I do now?
Aurel: You take this thing and put it there.
Phi: I don't see it.
Aurel: It's right in front of you.
Phi: Oh, okay. Done. What do I do now?
Aurel: You come back here. Make sure you don't screw up passing back through the memory barrier.
Phi: Okay, easy!
----
Phi: I'm now at the memory barrier. How does this work?
Aurel: You have to do this. Make sure you don't die or all the hard work we've done the past two hours will be lost.
Phi: Alright, here goes! *dies*

I think this could only be a plus if it is well implemented. Here's why. If ubi makes it an extra, something that is added on to the single player as an option, then it won't detract from the experience. If It sucks, give feedback and enjoy your singleplayer campaign. If it's awesome, give feedback and play around with it. That being said I REALLY hope Ubi does a great job with this because I really want to see co-op gameplay from you guys. Silent extermination FTW.

OK, i still have the theory of Connor and Aveline Will cross paths in both their games. Cause i don't remember Ubisoft ever making two games With different Assassin's in the same Time period and same country. And to put the icing on the cake shes a girl. So she could be a possible love interest. Even though I'm sure many of us don't wanna see a love story *cough cough Revelations cough cough*.

Or Connor's mentor assigns Aveline and Connor together for a couple missions in the game.

They've said that Aveline will be in AC3. Not sure if they said anything about Connor in Liberation, but we'll see.

Do you have a source on Ave being in AC3? I've only ever heard that connor will be in liberation.

Also, I believe it was confirmed the whole co-op thing was a mistake made by microsoft. I don't have a source, but I heard from some people who evidently heard from a source. So, still possible, but less likely.

This explains it vaguely.

“Because Liberation takes place in the same general time period as AC3, story connections are inevitable. At some point in the game, Aveline will cross paths with AC3‘s protagonist Connor."

If it's the same general time period as AC3, then maybe Aveline also comes into Connor's story as well. They just state that "story connections are inevitable". It would be cool to see Aveline in action for those of us that don't have Vitas.

They're not going to tell the same story twice, and I doubt Aveline and Conner meet more than once. So the connection only needs to be made in Liberation. And since the interview was about liberation, I think it's safe to assume they didn't mean anything other than what it's obvious they meant.

Who knows, you could be right, I wouldn't complain.

Hey, that's way better than what I was expecting. an interesting take on the typical horde mode style gameplay. It makes far more sense to set it in a multiplayer context, as coming up with a reasonable reason that genetic memory would interlace, and multiple animus sessions would work together would be difficult.

ah dammit ever sinds brotherhood me and a friend are talking about coop why couldn't it be that you could freerome now it is just an new multiplayer mode. still cool but dammit they just could make it without an timer like that you needed to assassinate an general in his Barack and that one can be seen without that the other is also seen than one could be an distraction while the other player assassinates the general.

IGN video with gameplay and discussion about how the Wolfpack mode plays. It actually sounds really fun, especially with multiple kills with your teammates at the same time (see the Sharpshooter blasting away two targets while his teammate slashes another).
