Since Unity's club competition is (looks to be) active I think it would be a good idea to make a THB club or that I/we join someone else's club so we can get acces to the better gear more easily.
Anyone interested in forming a club, or has a club available that I could join?
Club competition btw is a ranking of the weekly creed points earned.
JoeyFogey started one.
OldFogeys, I think it is.
[JoFo]
You might be able to search for it by what club your friends are in.
Request to join. He'll let you in.
Ok great, I just applied for it

You may join. If you can match my SKILLZZ!!!!!1!!!
...you--you know what? Just join...
I'll try to get on some this weekend... Sunday AM looks most likely (8am-11am PT, 11am-2pm ET, 4pm-7pm GMT).
I would LOVE to try to pull off a heist on one of the tougher ones with a group of 3-4 and NO ultrablending... (EDIT: you know, with synced air kills and going through a room to silently kill everyone like in the promo videos...)
I'll be up for playing some missions tonight if anyone else is.
I'm up for a mission or two, just send me an invite if we're both on.
I have a board game night going on at my place tonight. Sorry guys!
(The quad sync assassination for 969 creed points last weekend was sick, Joey).
Is it me or are Ubi's online services not available like 75 percent of the time?

It was pretty awesome considering we did it by accident.

I wondered if this was just my internet or not. I had trouble staying online. It would constantly go on and off.
Some good moments in co-op with JoeyFogey.
Best moment is when Joey haystacks assassinates a guard I'm starting to strangle. Thought it would be good to demonstrate exploiting the disguise skill.
Ha, that brings back memories of one Fourth of July. We bought some smoke bombs from the fireworks shops and had fun with them. Yes, I hid behind some.
I didn't know you'd record that! I would've acted like a proper Assassin and NOT look like a crazed lunatic.
We did well considering I had no mic available and had to give hints at what to do and when. Also added an annotation when you changed into the Ezio outfit.
I forgot about needing PS plus, so I got a free short trial a few days ago. It's probably expired by now, but I'm considering buying some for a while for more fooling around and videos. Those will be more organized.
Co-op in Unity looks great for Machinimas if done right.

I was doing my best to see what you might have wanted me to do. McStab accidentally invited me HIS first time, so I was worried it was that kind of situation. Also, your messages you sent me would be notified to me, but I couldn't load them up until afterwards. Kind of awkward with my monotone voice booming from your television.
But yeah, we should organize something to do.

When I sent the messages there was an error. Also could barely hear your voice, might have to turn the volume up. The PS4 is used, so I'll have to see if there is a mic somewhere.
Already getting ideas for cool videos.
the PS4 comes with a shitty mic in the box. at least mine did.
EDIT: Also, I may be able to play Saturday AM as well...
I know that a blend group requires 3... I know that you can blend with 2 players in Co-op and blend with one civilian walking by. So my question is... can you blend with 3 or 4 assassins in co-op? If so, that would make a hilarious heist video. Like the ultrablend, except not an exploit. 4 assassins slowly working their way through a building to steal shit when no one is looking...
My favorite moment in co-op is when I was weak still, got a bunch of enemies surrounding me, smoke bombed them then used the lift next to me to kill them all... unbeknownst to me, Joey was coming to my rescue to kill them all... so the lift got him instead.

Yeah, you bastard. Luckily it just "startled" Arno after I murdered everyone in 0.3 seconds.
Bad day to cap a terrible week at work.
So I'm going home to stab some mofos.
If you'd like to join in on my carnage (PS4), send me a message. I might make time to run an organized heist or two.
I think that performing an eagle strike on a target in co-op could look pretty awesome, having 1 player lead the target to a certain spot and then watching the other player hurl himself from a high building for the kill.
Would probably look pretty cool if you could see an eagle strike from an outside perspective.

That could work, but an Eagle Strike would be hard without Catch Ledge. It might only call for an Eagle Descent, sadly.
Seriously, why remove all these features, ESPECIALLY Catch Ledge? *throws table*

Hard, but not impossible.
speaking of good feature that have been removed for no reason at all... WHY DID ARNO NEVER LEARN TO WHISTLE?
I mean, why build this "awesome" cover system, then no way to manipulate the guard AI except for letting them spot you then follow your ghost?
Wait, can we do co-op during story missions? That would be awesome; I'd co-op assassinations a lot. I assumed it only works during free roam and certain missions. At the same time, what happens to the other player(s) during scenes?
There are specific co-op missions... not in the main track of the game. (Those missions say "maximum: 1 player" for a reason)

Like cheese said, hard but not impossible, I've already found a few locations that could be used for an eagle strike. But yeah having no catch ledge to rely on makes it a bit harder.
But that would make it all the more satisfying to pull it off!
For instance how cool would it be to pull off a double eagle strike for the "Heads will roll" co-op missions which has 2 targets to kill at the end.
pretty obvious they took it out bc it's easy to break the game with and was never an intentional feature?
so... these club competitions seem really dumb. grind creed points for five days to maybe get a single piece of gear?
Yeah this club competition thing isn't interesting at all, I can't understand that someone at Ubi thought that this would keep co-op alive/more interesting. Especially since most creed points can be earned by not being stealthy at all.
I just want to win it once/get my legendary snas-culottes chest and be done with it.
I keep getting notifications saying "Your Club is in 1st! Keep it up!"
I guess we're doing well...?
We're doing very well actually Around the 130000 creed points with the second place following at around 50000 I think.
But it's mostly due to me ultra-blending a specific heist missions then air-assassinating most of the npc's which gives around 600 creed points per npc. It might not be entirely fair to the other clubs but like I said, I just want to win it once/get my vest and be done with most of it

keep it up! I would if I were able! we can dominate 50 member clubs with our paltry 7 + ultrablending! we will win ALL the rewards!

I have some extra time the next 1.5 weeks due to no classes so I'll manage to get keep our difference intact long enough. Just a shame that these competitions take so long.

It's ridiculous how we're essentially the Assassins that have an advantage in Abstergo's Servers because of an exploit they haven't patched out yet.
I would have been totally fine with this if legendary gear were just a skin, and the actual stat-affecting gear stopped at Master. If that were the case, it would be totally fair for them to be tied to online activities, even if said activities were boring and/or repetitive.
not that stats really matter in this game, but it's the principle of the thing. I don't want this to happen in an AC game where those top level stats ARE important.
^ what in any previous AC leads you to believe that gear stats will ever matter in the future?
^ what in any previous AC leads you to believe that gear stats will ever matter in the future?
uh, what? Do you think they weren't trying to make it matter in this one? and to some extent they succeeded, because combat against top level dudes with low level gear is super unbalanced. Obviously the goal of designing a game with progression is to make progression necessary. I know you guys like to challenge yourselves to use as little as possible, but you realize that you're exploiting flaws in the game design when you do that, right?
Making a singleplayer game that locks out parts of the singleplayer progression from people who don't play multiplayer isn't a good trend. no-one wants to end up at "win this club competition to unlock the final assassination"

Pretty much, which is why I'm never gonna see these top tier gear~ xD;
I just hope they don't do this with Victory, also make the companion app just a companion up, like what they did with it for Black Flag~
yeah, I hate the trend of companion apps that are required to unlock content rather than be used for convenience and stat-tracking.
We did it, we won! (Big surprise )
Got my legendary sans-culottes coat!
So... they expect us to be online for a week... 20 times? With pauses between the periods. What's that? Two months? The content is on the game disc already, ****.
I'd be much happier just getting all the gear unlocked for being in first place, unlocking 80% items for 2nd place and so on. Getting the item for free is a joke; it's not like the clubs who get in first place have money issues!
everything about this is so ridiculously ill-conceived. It feels like an arbitrary thing that was put into the game after everything else was finished.
"Hey, let's try something new and social, but not discuss any consequences from it!"
BTW Joey, I sent a request to join a while ago so add me please~ x3
FYI: my psn is Amon_Lau

I haven't played far when I noticed the bad framerate back then so I waited out until they did something with it, now I'm finally getting back into it so I'm looking forward to doing some missions with everyone~ xD;

WTF... not unlocked for me even though it recognizes that we won a club competition...

I believe you. I'm in the club. It says we won a competition. But it's still locked to me...
I know why I didn't get the reward...
Because I wasn't in town and didn't actually contribute the minimum creed points to qualify for the reward.
That said, I've definitely done my share this time... took us from a 2K point lead to a 20K point lead a a little over a half hour...
Anyone know the status? I don't remember when it ends.
I think it ends on sunday. When I last checked it said that 2 days and a couple of hours were remaining.
