In this video I show a few ways of killing Lafreniére that I though were pretty cool/interesting. This assassination takes place during sequence 5 in memory 3.

Puppetmaster

In this part I let the graveyard caretakers and their friends(green NPC eagle vision, who will help you if you kill the bodyguards before Lafreniére arrives, do most of the work for me. I throw a cherry bomb at a certain spot which will attract a couple of guards, the allies and Lafreniére . They will start fighting and shooting at each other and one of the allies takes out the target for me and I wait until the rest of the guards are distracted by the remaining allies who have heard the gunshots and have gone up from underground to investigate.
Then all I have to do is silently finish Lafreniére off for a completely unseen kill.
I dubbed it puppetmaster because I am sort of pulling all the strings from the shadows and didn't know what else to call it Tongue

Blitz
This one is pretty straightforward.
I jump in the haystack closest to the target and before the wait timer is full I quickly jump out in the right direction so I can instantly drop a smoke and run to the target. The actual time it takes from spawning to killing Lafreniére is around 6 seconds, maybe even very slightly below 6 seconds.

Ghost run
In this part I do a ghost run kill of the target. I don't kill Lafreniére's bodygaurds before the mission starts and as you can see ni the video I highlight that they are there at the start. I then wait until he finishes his speech and starts patrolling with his two bodygaurds. Afterwards I run about 90 meters away from the target and come back to see that Lafreniére's bodygaurds are now nowhere to be found.
I then sneak myself into one of the confessional booths and wait for Lafreniére to come around and if none of the other guards are looking at my direction I can them take him out and sneak out afterwards for an unseen kill and no harming/killing of other npc's.

Eagle Strike
The last part is another eagle strike, this time from the Notre-Dame. Similar to my other eagle strikes I lead Lafreniére to the spot where I want him, then I climb up and perform my strike.
You will notice in the video that the second time I climb up the tower I do it in a very specific way, this is because the jump has to be made from a very specific spot or you will most likely hit a tower inbetween or hit the ground (That part between 08.00-08.10 is not part of it but Unity's forced controls were acting up)
I think that this is the highest point ingame and the 87 meter jump is a personal record for me. Although I think the record for highest eagle strike still belongs to the Galata eagle strike.

Hope you enjoy the video.

That Eagle Strike was amazing! Front Page for that alone! I think the other ones I've seen have used buildings on the other side of an alley or something so the Assassin changes directions to jump backwards. This one just looked so damn slick...

Thanks! I actually spent quite some time practising that one so to finally succesfully record the jump was pretty satisfying.

I've also started to appreciate this particular assassination more while working on it, though imo it would have been better if you could actually use the map they give you for something.

You can also use eagle vision to see the target's travel route and where the rooftop guards will appear after obtaining the map. That was useful enough for me. Also the map can be viewed again in the database, I think in the documents section.

What I meant was that I wish it was possible to somehow alter the routes/guard positions that are displayed on the map. For instance if you do X then Lafreniere's route would change slightly to Y and etcetera.

Very well done. I consider this assassination the best designed due to all the opportunities. Not being indoors also helped.

a couple of things I noticed whie doing this assassination:
- This one is included in the video I think, after killing Lafreniere in the ghost run you suddenly see a lot of civilian NPC's walking around the area. This happened a couple of times but I have no idea why Tongue
- I tried luring a couple of blue guards to the assassination area and then waiting in a haystack so the assassination start. One of the guards usually is still in the area when Lafreniere arrives but I haven't been able to do anything with that.
- When Lafreniere is speeching at the start there is a group of civilian templars that can be blended into. Normally they leave after Lafreniere is done talking/or he is interrupted (by a cherry bomb for example), but if you kill one of the civillians then the rest will stay.

If only other assassinations had something like that. In the Rouille assassination, a piece of paper on a table inside the building shows up in eagle vision but cannot be interacted with. Puzzled
