I've been getting addicted to this game. I finished the story and now I'm playing New Game+. I know some of you guys also play it (I'm probably a little late compared to everyone else). My favorite part of this game has to be the feeling of accomplishment each time you defeat a boss. Especially if it's one you've been hammering at many tries before.

Does anyone else have a favorite aspect of the game?

Aesthetically, the atmosphere of the game is superb. The difficulty of the enemies means that you're constantly very attentive to your environment, and the environments just drip with a gothic horror feel (later, a Cosmic Horror feel.) At the same time, it's not really a horror game, it's an action-rpg with amazing enemy variety.

The controls are also really consistent. I've never had a problem with my character doing something I didn't want them to do. Ever. As soon as you learn the controls once, and learn whatever Trick Weapon you'll be doing your current run with (for my first run, this was Threaded Cane and Hunter's Pistol -- for my second run with a new char, it's Saw Cleaver and Blunderbuss) then you're good. The camera never really moves by itself, it's fully in the control of the player. The game is not difficult because it's hard to hit stuff, it's only hard because of timing, and because of Knowledge. A second time going through the game is much easier than a first, and here's when you realize it's not really randomness that makes the game hard.

There are no difficulty settings, and going through a second time, it's not like the game got easier for you -- you've just become better at it. That sensation of dancing through hordes of downright lethal enemies without taking a scratch, this is something the Souls games -- which Bloodborne is very much a part of -- deliver on exceptionally well.

I'm currently doing an NG+ with one character (in Old Yharnam right now, about to fight Bloodstarved Beast) and doing a naked NG with another character (at Byrgenwerth, about to fight Rom).

My first run through I got the "true" ending, where you fight three Ending bosses instead of just one.

(Mergo, ______, and ____ ________). My second run I'll probably just go for the second ending, not consuming all three Cords. And yeah, I'm happy to be playing the game again.

If you want to Co Op, Joey, and our characters' levels are similar, we can do that together. Smile You don't lose any Echoes by dying in my world, and I don't lose any Echoes by dying in yours, so we can summon each other back and forth and help each other out. Not only is it much easier than fighting each boss alone, it's an easy way to get quite a lot of Blood Echoes.

The feeling of triumph gained after opening a Shortcut, or after killing a boss ("PREY SLAUGHTERED") is also incredible, as you said.

Bloodborne is amazing, the setting and worldbuilding is really good.

When you're done with the main story and DLC (which is also good in both gameplay and story) I'd recommend you watch the bloodborne lore videos by Vaatividya on youtube.
