Hey everybody, as you may know I'm planning to make a video to summarize the most awesome parts of all my runs of Ezio's trilogy. So feel free to tell what you think should be in the video, as well as your opinion about the layout.
My first idea was to categorize by topics (for example "so glitchy", "not really hidden", "lucky reach", ...) and then make a ranking inside the topics. Also I have the idea of a long version (maybe 10-15) minutes and on another hand a shorter version (something like 1-2 minutes).
This is a good idea, but it's hard to choose, because there are so many awesome parts. Such as assassinate Vieri de Pazzi, Doctor in AC2, Juan Borgia in ACB, Tarik in ACR, that's incredible. And all the tombs, though I don't know how you clips them. I believe there must be some of awesome moments I've forgotten, I will be go back to check them once again.
What I loved most about your runs is the freerunning, especially in Assassin tombs. The way you pick a route that's not meant to be picked (like grabbing ledges that are supposed to be grabbed way later and skipping a part of the tomb that way) is great to watch. Overall your freerunning has always been very enjoyable to watch, so fluent and convincingly.
Another vote for the tomb routes, those are super cool.
I tend to be partial to clever use of glitches and the like. Going through the verifier's comments on SDA should yield some solid suggestions.
The horse whistle spawn to stop the guy you are chasing outside the Colosseum for sure has to make it!
Also taking out all the bad guys at the thieves guild, I think it is, with your recruits to quickly end that section in (I think it was) the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC.
Hey man! May I ask you some questions?
In the process of making these great videos.
1. Which parts are you most impressed?
2. Which parts (or levels) make you spend longest time?
2. Which parts are you most frustrated?
3. Which parts are you most proud of?
4. What games do you play? In addition to Assassin's Creed.
1. Which parts are you most impressed?
I'm most impressed by the parts where a huge amount of time is saved, either by a serious glitch or a neat trick.
2. Which parts (or levels) make you spend longest time?
The random parts, those where you roll a dice and see if you can continue. For example losing notoriety or big battles.
2. Which parts are you most frustrated?
In addition to the previous point, I kind of dislike segments where one part was absolutely amazing and another part was barely average.
3. Which parts are you most proud of?
See point 1 + some things like the routing overall, and what you guys already said (resurrection, horse whistle thing,...)
4. What games do you play? In addition to Assassin's Creed.
I like Dark Souls series, Gran Turismo series, Grand theft auto (up to IV) series, Tomb Raider series, Just Cause series, Counter Strike / Half-Life series. And I spent a huge amount of time on The 4th Coming.

Oh man. The RESURRECTION ASSASSINATION! was that Juan Borgia the banker? where you killed yourself on purpose to save time? that was epic as well.
Yeah, the random parts is absolutely not enjoyable in speedrunning.
Thanks for your answer!
Hey guys, I finally selected, according to me, the best parts from my runs so far:
Don't hesitate to tell me if I missed something or on the contrary if some things are too much / not enough to highlight comparing to the rest. Of course, this is intented to be a short video so every part has to be self-consistent.
Also, what do you think about the categories/sub-categories/ranking/whatever? The main domains could be for instance: luck, free running, combat and glitches. But that's only an example, feel free to bring your contribution!
Last but not least, I need a video intro. I wanted my logo ("F") to be continuously drawn for ~2 seconds (and then "Fed981" appearing). But I don't have a clue on how to do that.
Hey everyone, here's a draft of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIUC7gzGCUU
Please tell me if something could be done better, in terms of transitions, order, if I should write some things, make slow replays, everything. Any criticism is welcome, I want this to be my masterpiece
Maybe some commentary on the less obvious parts (like the fight with Vieri's men and Mario)?
I don't see what you mean here... "efficient and fast fighting" written or...?
Maybe you could show more of the freerunning in the tombs, for example if you speed up the video it would be cool to see the entire climb in this part from 41:20 to when you reach the sarcophagus.
Also maybe change the music? If you're not set on this one already. Something with a little more rythm like Propellerheads.
Actually I prefer stay with this music because it's my style, and you know, music is not the principal thing. I will think more about the torre grossa climb, since I'd rather make a really short video (even in 4x speed it would last 15 seconds). By the way thank you very much for paying attention to this
This video very accurately represents everything I love about watching your speedruns. Excellent job.
