i didn't know there was another topic of this
then you gotta look for a while, the search function is there for a reason
As ROB said, you should use the 'Search this site' bar. Alternatively, mention your interest in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises in another movie-related topic or the 'Last Person to Reply Wins!' topic (as that's useful for general chat). Say something interesting and worthwhile and you might get a response. Someone might even point out that there's a pre-existing topic dedicated to your subject of choice.

awesome is just not enough to describe this trailer.
I'm pretty sure batman is going to die in this movie. For example, @ 1:24 in the trailer " I wont bury another member of the Wayne family."- Alfred penny worth.
"You don't owe these people any more."Says Cat woman "You've given them everything you can."
"Not everything...Not yet." - Batman.
So yeah, Batman goes bye bye. And no I'm not sad about that. What i am sad about is that in like another 4 years they'll reboot the franchise again. And most likely will fuck it up.

He's speaking directly to Bruce. The threat is there, because Bane is the most dangerous villain to ever attack Gotham. He captured Bruce and is holding him in some sort of prison. That doesn't ever happen to Batman, so Alfred is scared.
Well then both Bruce and batman might die.
Well then both Bruce and batman might die.
probably it is one of these 2 comment if you disagree.
1. Bruce will fake his death so he can be batman all the time and be an symbol of a great man who is not afraid to fight back. this requires that he first does something against bane.
2. batman will sacrifice him self so he can destroy bane and people can see that they now need to self help the world to make it an better place. he won´t die and still help a bit now as Bruce Wayne.
sorry for he bad grammar.
Seeing it Saturday, hopefully.
Well 12 people died in Arizona midnight. Some dude went in with assault weapons and well...killed 12 people. Paris has cancelled their screening of the movie.
This is going to kill the box office numbers...

More than just weapons...
Handgun, rifle, another gun, tear gas, kevlar suit, gas mask... (I guess he wasn't too out of place with all the other people dressed in costume and the fact that there are riot police in the previous movies... with guns and gas hidden, of course... who knows how he got through).
Waited until a firefight in the movie, then came in the emergency exit, threw in the tear gas and opened fire without saying a thing. Many thought the gunfire sound was part of the movie. Bullets also went through walls to other theaters. Police couldn't get into the theater without gas masks, so they were delayed. People were stumbling out of the theater disoriented, some with chemical burns, others covered in blood. Estimated 50+ more wounded. Upon being apprehended, made remarks that lead police to believe his apartment building had a bomb in it, so that was evacuated in the middle of the night as well.
It was indeed a dark night. My heart and prayers go out to the victims. As for the assailant, I hope he rots in prison.
Thanks for elaborating McStab.
Yeah..maybe there was some kind of subliminal message in the title?
that's just sad

In The Dark Knight Rises?
I think he means the topic title. Knight is spelled night.

Oh yeah. Forgot it was. haha
Greatest superhero film ever made. 17 stars out of 5.

Agreed. Funny thing is. I seen spider-man and the dark knight in the same night. Dark knight was obviously the better out of the two.
Bane is too bad ass.
I like Bane more than Joker. I've gotten a lot of hate for that, but I don't care!

Sad batman...well you know.
I like Bane more than Joker.
Must... see... film.
“Oh, you think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man. By then, it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you because they belong to me.”
- Bane (quoted from 'The Dark Knight Rises'
Was pretty good, better than I expected. I had problems with some parts, like those ridiculous police tactics...
Also I have seen Angels and Demons, and I was able to predict the ending when I realised there wasnt much time left on the clock, which kinda sucked.

I don't know, it all seemed like what I'd expect the police to do in that situation.
now after seeing all 3 superhero movies which ones did you like more. While all3 movies where great i do have my favorites.
1. batman the dark knight rises.(i knew this already before i saw the movie)
2. the amazing spiderman.(this one surprised me but the story was great and i cannot wait for the second one)
3. the avengers.(this movie his strength is also his weakness having more superheros in one movie is awesome but i still think the story was not so great still a good movie and the funniest of the 3.
so what did you think

1. Dark Knight Rises: Great ending to possibly the best cinematic story of a superhero ever conceived. I've seen it 3 times and it just gets better. More adult-oriented out of the three.
2. Avengers: It delivered what it promised - the epic team-up movie comic fans have been begging for. I don't see why you didn't understand the story. It was pretty basic. Loki, the scorned Asgardian god failed to create his own kingdom in his own realm, so he seeks the ability to build that back up on Earth. The newly-formed "Avengers" must unite from their own stories and defend their world at any cost. Any details you might be concerned about were probably in the other movies. It was a fun ride nonetheless. Also saw it three times (all for free).
3. The Amazing Spider-Man: Thankfully Toby "crybaby" Mcguire is out and the director pulled a lot from the 50 years of comics for inspiration rather than trying to create a corny-written origin story. I liked this because it was refreshing and I totally forgot about the travesty of Spider-Man 3. Also, it takes a unique approach that not even the comics touched upon all that much.

i did not say that i did not understand the avengers but that i didn't like the story because it where six heroes in an 2 and a half movie maybe they could have made it longer it was an good movie with an good story but both batman and spiderman had an better story.
Spoiler: Highlight to viewIt was amazing. Even better than TDK itself. However, they were a few flaws:
- there's not much Batman. More about Bruce Wayne's story, and his struggle to rise
- Talia's and Bane backstory is rushed. I barely understood any of it at all, and you could have cut Talia's part.
- the 2nd act moves way too fast. Bane practically controls Gotham in a matter of hours, and there's no time indication during his stay.
- John Blake says that the cops have been forced underground for at least 3 months. That must meant that it took at least bruce 4 months, factoring his broken vertebrate, his efforts to climb, and his return. Also, how did he return to Gotham? He just shows up right next to Selina Kyle!
- You can practically finish the movie without Catwoman, and the romance is pretty spontaneous.
- They actually cut out Bane's real origin from the final film. They filmed and edited it and everything, but cut it for time. Talia wasn't necessary for the movie itself, but story-wise, she was putting on a ruse to finish her father's work from Batman Begins. It came full-circle, which is nice in a trilogy to pull throwback story points like that.
- It was a fast-forward of 4-7 months (it's never made clear, really, just implied). The cops underground were nearly every cop the city had except for a few detectives and Gordon. Without a defending force, Bane took the city easily, especially scaring the citizens with the bomb threat.
Bruce Wayne has a lot of connections. He's f*cking Bruce Wayne! He's known around the world by his playboy status! Also, he traveled the world at the beginning of Batman Begins, so he made even more connections that way. Just find a phone and he's on his way home within a few weeks.
-Catwoman was included as a connection with Bane. Not much else, honestly. She was Batman's information-giver until she used him as collateral for herself. Giving her a second chance, she proved herself by saving him and showing that she's good deep down. I think their romance took place between the climax (when he's carrying the bomb) and the restaurant in Florence. I'm sure he found the good in her and realized this was a person that could keep up with and understand him more than Rachel did. Nolan sometimes includes love stories in his movies, but they're not really much of a focus, it seems. But I agree that they should've touched upon it and let it blossom more so we could buy it.
