i know basically nothing of the Avengers, except that the idea of the god Tor, a deity i hold dear, being an american-style superhero really annoys me

Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will in fact calm up

Looks really good. Wish they got back Norton or someone who looked like him in some way or another, but I'm sure the actor's great.

I understand that judgement, ROB. The Thor movie tried its best to make it all connect to the history humans have with gods. Not saying it's right, but the character himself is as badass as I've read of the real mythical god. I don't think of him as the same person, though.

Looks awesome. It seems like it will be a great movie, must be after all the recent superhero movies have done so well. It seems like Loki is going to be the main antagonist, I would have liked for them to come up with another villian but its suitable for the job.
One more thing, is the guy with the bow and arrow supposed to be Hawkeye?

There's another "villain" in the film. I won't spoil anything. Wink

Yep! He was in Thor for about 10 seconds.

OMFG that was amazing probably gonna be on the same level as the dark knight ect

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

Why are Capn' America and Thor fighting at round 1:27?
Is there some comic book story event I'm missing here?

At first I assumed there might be some sort of conflict Cap and Thor have (maybe Cap trying to get Thor to fight his brother [Loki] with the rest of the team). Then I thought, if the Skrulls (a race of shape-shifting alien beings) are in this film as previously rumored, one of them may be a Skrull imposter. If that's what it is, I can see Cap being the imposter.

Since when is Captain America a douche? He was a sweet guy in his own film.

Well I'd be a douche too. Think about it. Hes working with a demi god, Billionaire with a high-tech Iron suit, two master assassin's, and hulk. Maybe he fells overwhelmed that he has become the Keith Apicary of the group.

Been thinking the same thing. Loved the movie Captain America, and can't wait to see him in The Avengers (it even seemed like his story wasn't really complete, especially with the ending).

In Cap's time, he was the only one with enhanced abilities. Now he's woken up in a world where all his friends are dead and the world is used to super-people. He doesn't feel like that symbol of freedom he was in the '40s. He was always very humble, but now he feels like he doesn't matter (even if Fury reminds him he is).

He's in disbelief that everything has changed from what he knew about. It's overwhelming. If he's a little douchey, I think that's understandable.

If you're still having trouble, think of this: He's a 70-year old virgin. I'd be pissed too!

Funny movie? And i don't think its not really fair to compare The dark knight rises to the avengers,At least not now.

I thought I'd ask. Whats everyone's favorite Marvel movies ?.

1. Spider-man 1 ( 2002 ) - I love this movie. It was always fun to watch; i do every time it airs on T.V. ,just thought it was that good.

2. Iron man 1 - Just pure awesome. Robert downy jr. was made for the iron man role.

3. X-men origins( 2009)

NO SPOILERS!!!

I'm still baffled he called it "funny". But I agree with EA. You can't really compare a team-up movie with a solo hero movie. Especially when TDKR isn't even out yet. We all know it'll be the best solo hero movie, but Avengers is the first of its kind. Hard to compare it to anything else. Still waiting to see it!

i´m just saying my predication is that while avengers i awesome it´s not the ultimate superhero movie i like batman more because it is darker and tdkr is supposedly darker than tdk ooh btw i thought this movie was funny not it´s so dumb it´s funny but iron man and hulk are really funny.

What do you think of the after credits scene?

I didn't see it. I saw the scene during the credits and stupidly assumed THAT was it. My friends wanted to go, anyways, so I couldn't stay much longer. :/

Spoiler: Highlight to view
I heard it had to do with Iron Man's restaurant idea when Hulk "revived" him.

What? Ok I heard something about the US after credits scene being different. So what I meant by that was this. Enjoy!

I just saw The Avengers and thought it was brilliant. As others have said it was very funny and some of the action sequences were just immense. I look forward to the sequel. Tongue

Hulk is fucking awesome.
Iron Man is fucking awesome.

Not really all that much more to it. I had expected more, to be honest.
