Altair meets Ezio meets Desmond=awesome
The timeline has been around for a while. I used to have it saved on my computer.
I was not to sure how this topic would be received to be honest, and I suspected some more senior members here may have peeked at it first. I was unaware it had been around for a while, but it certainly took me by surprise knowing that Altiar not only wrote the codex for Ezio (which I knew already) but he also trained many more assassins under him because obviously he took the rank of Grand Master Assassin after he killed Al Mualim. So, was Al Mualim the headmaster of the templars and the Assassins and if so why. More to the point, what on earth did he choose to wear in the morning assassins robes or the templar cross?
now that you bring that up, we don't really know that much about Al mualim, do we?
like what his goal was, or his connection to the apple and the templars
Yeah, I think there should be some extra information on AssassinsCreedWiki. Or we could personally ask more experienced players? To the best of my knowledge he used the apple to blind all his fellow assassins to beleiving in the truth and he used it to control the hearts and minds of his followers, almost to the point that everything was an illusion just like the paradise garden. I am not so good on history so maybe we do need some extra input from somewhere or someone. In my opinion though, his soul is corrupt and confused to side with both armies to fight for 2 different goals is surely impossible.
He was playing both sides to get the Apple for himself - Robert de Sable was still the leader of the Templars, but he was duped by Al Mualim. Ultimately, I think he still sided with the Assassins, since his plan involved killing almost every Templar leader and came from a fundamental misunderstanding of the creed.
Excellent thanks so much hewkii9, you are the expert we needed
