Hope you enjoy.I like providing this site with interesting stuff.
It's interesting, but a lot of the stuff that's pointed out are either facts turned conspiracy theory or a grand explosion of exaggeration. AC focuses on the past more so than the present sections because it likes to go to these amazing time periods and places and spark new historical interests in players.
I tried looking up the video on Youtube, but I can't find it. During a certain video, an AC team member (I believe it's the writer Corey May), commented on the first stages of AC1. It started out as strictly in the past as Altair himself (no Desmond). Then they realized they wanted to go to other time periods. Instead of having Altair as a time traveler, they decided to go with "genetic memory."
My point is, they never even thought of making it a symbolic series of games trying to warn us about something. It was always a series dedicated to historic intervening. A simple "What If?" collection of scenarios. The glyphs and symbols have been used by cultures around the world in their alphabets, engraved in ruins, and symbols for gods they worship. It's all just an elbow jab "hint hint" to history buffs and scholars.
