AC entering the mobile gaming platform (that's not pirates or bad 2D side-scrollers). Looks very cartoony and seems to fall more into Assassin's Creed Chronicles-style of gameplay.
welp. that's a hard pass.
Yeah...
It's uh...it's there.
Since it's free, I'll probably pick this up to give it a shot. No Altair though. I don't care that it's not set in his time period, it's a freaking mobile game that involves stuff that definitely didn't happen / is non-canon anyway. If you're gonna have me collect adorable chibi Assassins and don't put Altair in, there's something incurably wrong with you.
So I tried this game and it's a 50/50.
They seem to only be focusing on the Spanish Inquisition (from the film) and Ezio's timeline from what I've played so far. The only glimpses of other time periods are for Odyssey through special event missions.
It's not bad and does actually include a unique form of strategy, but the problem is that it's never really working in your favor. For example, if you tell a stealth character to quietly assassinate a guard with a 95% success rating on that particular action (it shows how successful your chances are before you perform them), there's really a 50% chance it'll have any effect.
Seriously, I haven't had this much trouble hoping that my higher-leveled character won't mess up his one specialty with only a 5% failure possibility in any other game with a similar concept. I lost count how many times a high percentage action just didn't work on basic enemies. It's ridiculous and tells me they want you to pay for boosts more often.
It's a good time-killer, but not worth the time to invest in.
I've downloaded it, but haven't opened it.
