To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

It keeps being updated, so I'll read it when it's finished. I can't focus on an entire story in portions. I forget key points. That's my reasoning.

I've read one or two chapters. I'm not into fan fiction so it's hard for me to stay focused long enough to read even a short story.

What I liked about your work is that you introduced new characters and situations. You didn't just rehash things you saw in a game. Your use of Italian words was a nice touch.

The thing you need to work on are the mechanics: spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc. People won't be able to enjoy your stories if they can't comprehend the sentences.

The good news is that you're in a perfect position to learn these things. Pay attention in English classes, especially when it comes to writing! They're giving you an education in the fundamental skills you will need for writing comic books.

You won't even feel the blade.

Well thank you stabguy, and i do paY attention in english. just that the teacher makes us read novels more than we do acttual writing...it sucks.

EA, visual artists usually copy paintings of the masters in order to learn their techniques; it's standard instruction. At pretty much any art museum, you're likely to see at least a couple of people doing just that.

It's the same with writing. If you read good writing, you will learn what good writing is. That's why the teacher is giving you reading assignments. Sure, actual writing assignments would help; also it might help if your teacher explained the reasoning as well! (I remember wondering when I was just your age: "why are we learning this?" They rarely answered.)

If your teacher doesn't cover the topic "why is this good writing?" in class discussions of the novel, perhaps you could ask. Teachers generally like those kinds of questions.

Another piece of advice (which is worth exactly as much as you are paying for it haha) is to read the essay "Politics and the English Language" by George Orwell. It's extremely helpful for understanding political speech, but also for English language in general; how it is used and mis-used.

"Now you shall get an earful of my beloved sword! Behold, Pillow Talk! Let's rock, baby!"

That's how I started drawing when I was little. I took comics lying around and found splash pages (full page shots instead of individual panels) and traced them. After a while, I would just look at pictures and copy them from there. Eventually, I could do my own thing, but as a result, my style was blending each artist's skills into one. That's just how you learn stuff like that.
