Yeah, I most definitely will be doing more. I plan to do one with Brotherhood when that's released for PC. I haven't played it yet, but from what I've seen I think the Animus Training Room thing might make for some great footage.

I have to say this is one of the best AC vids I have ever seen. I would say it is better than most of Ubisoft's vids. Can't wait to see Brotherhood added into the mix.

Vegas Video for editing and Fraps for recording. I used a program called CheatEngine to run the game in suuuper slow-motion to record shots at a high FPS so I could have smooth looking shots. That was actually the most fun part about making this since I love AC's animations so much and being able to see every little meticulous detail in all of them was great. And yes, this took a while, playing in slow-motion doesn't help speed things up either haha

For movement scenes it was trial and error mostly. To make it easier on myself I'd use the center camera button and move only in the angles allowed on the keyboard controls since those are fixed unlike the analog sticks on a controller. The times when I couldn't do that I took a screenshot of the location with one Assassin and then ran back to it with the other and basically eyeballed it until I got it right. I remember using a twig on wall haha, counting the amount of bricks it was down and trying to position the camera just right.
For combat scenes, the counter kills have only about 5 or 6 different angles that it can be shown in so if I play long enough and kill enough I eventually get the same angles.

Oh!! That's so genius! I thought' you used Adobe After Effects to do that, cuz I know that after effects can slow down clips and keep them just as smooth

Ubisoft, take note: this video captures everything that is incredible about the series you have created and, if you aren't careful, will soon destroy.

If the guys from Ubi saw this I genuinely think ACIII would be better than they're currently planning on making it. If they have any sense and emotion, it will inspire them no end.

Wow. I tried it, it's brilliant. That trick can make some awesome high-FPS stuff possible. Too bad it doesn't work for the sound.

That was my favorite as well. Though I was hoping for some Desmond-to-Altair transitions and I don't think there were any. Lack of common animations, maybe?

Once Brotherhood comes out on PC, he'll have free range to do transitions between all three characters since you can use all three skins in Rome and in the VR training. However, he'd need to use a program to override textures when doing Altair scenes, since in ACB Ezio's face remains on the Altair model (beard and all).

I was wondering about that. I noticed that the framerates were awfully smooth for the slow-mo shots. Ingenious idea!

Are you sure about that? I've been playing through the story again with Altair's outfit and he looks the same. Maybe a glitch you're experiencing?

Nope, that's the way it is. I've used it myself and that's the way it is in the official art too.

Keep in mind that this is for Brotherhood, not AC2. In AC2, we got Altair's face along with the costume.

I' playing right now as Altair in ACB and there is no beard whatsoever.

And Cheat Engine; oh that brings back memories. Amazing use of it aswell! And also another question, can you edit arrays in Assassins Creed 2 with Cheat Engine or hex decimal values saved in the game?

Excellent idea. We will open their eyes to the fact that nothing is true, and that everything is permitted.

I'm sure there are a few Ubi employees that know about this site, but I'm sure none of them are up there with Gabe and Jade, so they probably can't input our improvements to the series.
