On Gamefaqs a topic caught my attention, "How to use Stagger to kill an enemy". Someone claimed you can kill someone after knocking them down, pressing , then holding it down, which will result in a kill or at least damage. I asked for a video and he was generous enough to comply.

By the look of it the staggering strike ends in a ground execution, which you can see for a fraction of a second. What's useful about this is you can do it on those high level agiles, which normally roll out of the way of attempted ground kills. Yet another useful technique to test out.
I appreciate how weirdly on-brand this topic title is. and wow, that's a pretty big oversight. wonder how I didn't find that out before when I was farming creed points by staggering-striking endlessly.
What about the long weapon staggering strike? I know it's not a kill, but it's my favorite combat animation in Unity so far...
*sigh* ... Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.
