This video isn't really part of my main multiplayer series, its just for fun to keep my subs entertained while I work on my next one.

Each map has a few key spots to defend, I tried to show some here but I ran out of time, there were some clips I just had to keep.

Sienna has a really good spot, the one where you see me stunning the Blacksmith over and over. It is isolated from the map, meaning you can spot your pursuers a long time before they can get you. You can use mute and charge on them before they have a chance to flank you.

San Donato is my favorite. Sadly I didnt record all of the work in the church, but the church is the place to be here. Use morph on a group and then stand by the side of the doorway where they cant see you. They will walk right passed you, but its best to use smoke anyway in case they have a team mate nearby.

Rome has a good spot by the herald at the Pantheon. Thing about this spot is no NPC will walk up to you, anyone who does is your pursuer and like Sienna you have a lot of time to spot them early. It also has a chase breaker nearby if you need to escape.

I didnt show this spot but on the new map in France go to the tower and stay in a stationary group. Mute has a huge range remember so as soon as you spot your pursuer climb up hit it and stun them. Also note the NPC travel around the room, they always hug the walls. Anyone who doesnt do this is joining a group in the center, or is a pursuer

I see people try copy me with this multiple stunning but fail, here are a few things you need to know about it.

Firstly, if you stun someone, once they get up neither you nor your pursuer can interact each other for a small period of time. The pursuer will always get the attack option first, so time your smoke bombs just as they get up to get the second stun.
However, a teammate can stun them if they are right next to them. Its best if they are locked on and are mashing circle. If you do this you will always get the stun no matter what. Then its your turn to do it. I always throw smokes when its not my turn to stun to help the others out incase they dont know to stand really close. I have no idea what the other team was doing, we went at that one guy for so long it was like boosting, I lost count on how many stuns we got.

That's some pretty helpful info. Thanks!

So how does that work with two defenders repeatedly stunning a single pursuer? If you stun him and he gets back up, a different player will have a higher stun priority than you? So just alternate and you can repeatedly stun him until he kills one of you?

If that's the case, it seems like there's a short stun immunity timer where you can't be stunned by the same person twice within X seconds. Getting around that would be done by alternating who stuns him. Very interesting.

I'll have to keep those locations in mind. It almost feels like cheating to always know 100% who is and isn't another player. Smile Do you find standing just inside the doorway always works? Shouldn't they know that you're at the doorway and not in the back corner just based on the distance at which their compass goes full circle? I guess that would take a more experienced player than most of the noobs out there. Smile

Slightly off topic, do you make use of the whispers at all? I read about it a few weeks ago and turned down the voices and sound effects (since the whispers are based on the music volume) and it was quite interesting. It got me a couple of free stuns that I otherwise might not have been prepared for. I haven't played since then, but I plan to keep the voice and sound effects volumes low from now on.

I dont bother concentrating on whispers, I probably should though. As for standing in the door, I havent seen anyone else try it so why would people look out for it? They always assume you are in one of the two blend spots, you almost always catch them by surprise.

You got the stun thing correct, two people must alternate with taking turns in stunning unless you decide to use a smoke bomb so you can wait a bit to stun them yourself. Check out the Sienna part, its a perfect example of both me and the other guy taking turns. We could have done that whole thing without smoke bombs, but we didnt know each other so its best to be prudent

Now I just have to hope for smart teammates. Most of the people I end up with will spread out as much as possible while defending (they'll usually leave a blend group if you join them) and just do non-stop sprinting while on the offense. It's rare to get decent teammates.

I believe there are whispers in the soundtrack which get louder as you get closer to your opponent.

Whispers when you are closer to your pursuer, heart beat when close to your target.

Best way to notice the whispers is in a chase, if they follow you for long they are so loud its impossible to miss

It's also easier to hear them if you're using headphones.

I haven't had much time to play since learning about the whispers, but the bit I did play showed me that it's a very handy tip. I won't play with the sound effects or voices any higher than a 2 now (music volume at 10).

i've been wondering, what would happen if you lock on to you'r oursuer and use the pistol on them?
would they die? would it do anything at all?

You're unable to lock on to anyone but civilians and your target, so locking on to your pursuer will do nothing. The reticule will slide right over him.

This is true...but what if you're locking onto a civilian or your target, and coincidentally, your pursuer runs into ur line of fire and u shoot. Does the shot just cancel? Or does the bullet just phase through ur pursuer and hit the intended target? Questions questions...

You can shoot through anyone and hit your target as long as you lock onto them. If a building or obstacle of some sort gets in the line of fire, you'll hit that instead, even if you're locked on. So whenever you hear that sound of a shooter that just locked onto you, go around a corner. Smile

I had thought whispers were tied to the voice or the sound effects volume, didn't realize it was actually the music volume. I'll have to try turning the sound/voice(those damn vendors are annoying anyway) down and pumping up the music.
