The Crossing (2000) TV film.
Stabguy's favorite American Revolution movie. Jeff Daniels is George Washington.
John Adams (2008) HBO mini-series, 7 episodes.
Sometimes boring, mostly politics and family drama, many major political characters are encountered, and the setting is quite realistic. A whole lot of town life.
The Patriot (2000)
Very cheesy movie, in which Mel Gibson defeats the boss with a tomahawk in the right hand and a knife in the left.
The War that made America (2006) PBS documentary, in four parts.
It's about what in the US is called the French and Indian War. A whole lot of frontier life. And of course the story itself is very relevant to Connor's backstory, I suppose.
Slavery and the Making of America (2004) PBS documentary, four parts. It's narrated by Morgan Freeman. The second episode is especially relevant.
The Revolution (2006) History Channel, 13 episodes.
There's also April Morning, based on the book.
