When I played through Assassin's Creed 3 for the second time, not bothered by very laggy gameplay and cutscenes, I noticed a lot more. My eyes were opened, so to speak. My definite conclusion for this game is, very shortly put: Some elements are excellent, but the way they were worked out could have been better. That's why I expect a lot from AC4.
While I was playing I noticed a lot of cool little animal animations. It might not seem like much to you, but little things like that can just make me smile sometimes. I loved those. That's why I decided to make a little compilation of them. It's more or less an ode to the little bits of detail that the creators put in this game.
This video covers some interactions and random animated scenes that you can see animals (wild or domesticated) do. I think many people did not know all of these, so I wanted to show them to the world. This is not even everything. I could have added a fox jumping in the snow, a baby deer running around (I believe they're called 'fawn', right?), squirrels climbing trees, but I couldn't really capture those quite the way I intended. It doesn't really matter though, I'm fine with the result.
I started this little 'project' about a month and a half ago, but then it had a big resting period, and I haven't been playing much of AC3 anymore. But, last week I decided to finish it before AC4 comes out, or it would have completely disappeared between all the new AC4 videos.
From what we've seen in gameplay videos for AC4 so far, there's a lot of wildlife, so I don't doubt I will enjoy interacting with that as well. Anyway, that's all. Please take 10 minutes of your time to watch this video and let me know what you think.
Here's to AC4.

Holy Cow! They said they were going to put something in about the rats... AND THEY DID!
How did I miss that?!

I even tried to perform 'air assassinations' on the rats, jumping from roofs trying to land directly on top of them. Either it has to be performed perfectly right, or it only works when walking, because I was never succesful.
