Anyway, for those who follow football, thoughts on the teams relegated from the Premiership? Being a Coventry City fan in Birmingham, I personally love the fact that Blues were relegated!

I feel sorry for Blackpool, they're entertaining! Glad Wigan stayed up though cause I love their manager

Also as a Newcastle fan, West Brom's last minute equaliser made us finish below Sunderland which sucks!

i don't really follow football (you mean real football, right?) except for the world cup.

but speaking of sports. the world cup in hockey finished like a week ago, and sweden got the silver and at first the only thing people could talk about was how the team sucked for not getting the gold.
but silver is still pretty damn good.

Back on the football topic, I've been recently following the Champions League, been a fan of Barcelona.

Despite not really liking Man. Utd, I'm going to have to go with them, being English and all. Always support English teams abroad, that's my philosophy

Barça are a great side but I'll always support an English club against a foreign team. Also, the Barça-Real Madrid match ruined their beautiful football for me - such a dirty game.

Either way, baseball is the best sport. It doesn't matter what country it's played in.

I could argue for days about why soccer is stupid, but instead you can just watch this poor quality instructional video explaining why its useless. Thank you Daniel Tosh for putting soccer in its place:

I agree that football (the proper version) isn't brilliant but it's better than the American version. Why have a sport where most of the time is spent standing still doing nothing...and it's pointlessly violent, like rugby.

The best sport in the world is obviously hockey (not the stupid ice version) as it requires huge skill and fitness without one of the aims being to injur the other team.

I am now braced for the wave of complaints that this post will generate..

Ha! John Cleese is great comedian. I liked watching his old show Faulty Towers.

Rob - Daniel Tosh is a comedian who got a show on Comedy Central (here in the U.S.) showing ridiculous YouTube clips and commenting on them, then reenacting some of them in his own way. Nothing he does is serious. But FLAE, I also despise soccer (or football, for all those apalled at the American version).
