Notice:
Due to the nature of achievements/trophies, this thread is bound to contain spoilers. Proceed at your own risk.

Myth Maker (5 GS, Bronze)
Find the 8 statuettes in Monteriggioni.

Use this map to help you find the statuettes.

Fly Swatter (5 GS, Bronze) Missable!
Kick a Guard while using the Flying Machine.

If you do not have the DLC pack The Battle of Forlì, this achievement/trophy can only be unlocked during Sequence 8, Memory 5, "Infrequent Flier". If you complete this memory without getting Fly Swatter, you must start a new game and play up to this mission again to make another attempt.

If you missed every attempt to kick a guard and you're about to reach your destination, simply crash the Flying Machine so that you can try again. You will still receive Fly Swatter even if you die immediately afterwards, so don't be afraid to make a suicide run to ensure that you successfully kick a guard. Don't forget to lock-on to the guard as you approach.

If you have downloaded The Battle of Forlì, you will find that it contains an additional mission with the the Flying Machine. Furthermore, the Flying Machine will be re-usable at that location at any point in the game once this memory has been completed. This provides players an easy opportunity to obtain the achievement/trophy if they missed it in S8M5.

High Dive (10 GS, Bronze)
Perform a Leap of Faith from the Top of Florence's Giotto's Campanile.

Giotto's Campanile is the tallest tower in Florence (and possibly the entire game). It stands right next to (south of) Santa Maria del Fiore (the building on which Feather #1 is perched).

Do a Leap of Faith from the top by jumping in the direction of the hay stack. If you jump in any other direction, it's arrivederci Ezio.

Lightning Strike (10 GS, Bronze)
Sprint for 100 meters.

This one's a cinch. Just hold [High Profile] and Legs button and start moving. Don't stop until you get the achievement/trophy. Try to avoid bumping into things while you're at it.

Macho Man (10 GS, Bronze)
Defend a woman's honor.

Complete any Beat Up side mission.

Steal Home (10 GS, Bronze)
Win a race against thieves!

Complete any Race side mission.

I like the view (10 GS, Bronze)
Synchronize 10 View Points.

It's as easy as it sounds.

Tip of the Iceberg (10 GS, Bronze)
Use your Eagle Vision to scan a Glyph in the environment.

Turn on Eagle Vision and approach any Glyph to activate the puzzle and receive this achievement/trophy.

A Piece of the Puzzle (10 GS, Bronze)
Unlock a piece of Subject 16's video.

Complete any Glyph puzzle.

Messer Sandman (10 GS, Bronze)
Stun 4 guards at once by throwing sand in their face.

This one stumps a lot of people, but it's really not too difficult once you understand how it works.

You gain the ability to throw sand as soon as you don Giovanni's Assassin outfit, ie: Sequence 1, Memory 11. The move is performed while Ezio is unarmed by holding the [Armed Hand] button during combat. This move takes a moment to charge. If you are hit, the move is cancelled. Once the move is charged, release the button to throw sand in an arc in front of you to stun the opponents who are hit by it. Holding the button longer can slightly increase the arc's radius.

You do not need to hit all four guards in a single throw. However, you must ensure that all four will be in the stun animation at the same time. If you're quick, you can throw sand a second time to stun additional guards before the stun has worn off from the first throw. Keep in mind that any guards hit by sand while already stunned will not be re-stunned; they must completely come out of their stun animation before the stun can be re-applied.

This is accomplished most easily by surrounding yourself with low ranking guards. Florence makes this a cinch, especially if you can find a narrow alleyway to force the guards to stand close together. If you're having trouble getting all of the guards in front of Ezio, just keep backing away and blocking until you have four or more guards in front of you, then go for the throw. It shouldn't take too many tries.

This achievement/trophy is slightly buggy, as it has been known to work on occasion with only three guards present.

Handy Man (10 GS, Bronze)
Upgrade a building in the Stronghold.

Very straight forward. Just upgrade any building in Monteriggioni.

Street Cleaner (10 GS, Bronze)
Hide 5 dead bodies in a Bale of Hay.

Just as it sounds. They must all be put into the same hay stack, and it must all be done at one time. If you move more than about 40 meters away from the hay stack, any bodies inside will be removed from the game and you will need to start your count over again.

It does not have to be a hay stack per se. It also works with the carts of hay and leaves.

Mailman (10 GS, Bronze)
Intercept a Borgia Courrier.

These are the guys wearing a cape and beret who run around the cities with a white arrow above their head. They often scream at Ezio to leave them alone. Do not listen!

Catch up to the runner and stop him in any method you deem fit and the achievement/trophy is yours. Keep in mind that this must be done to the couriers; you will not get the achievement/trophy for stopping a pickpocket.

Sweeper (10 GS, Bronze)
Sweep 5 guards at once by using a Long Weapon.

This one tends to be one of the last achievements/trophies that people receive because it seems more difficult than it really is.

Start by learning the Sweep special move at the Fight Ring in Monteriggioni any time after completing Sequence 3, Memory 3. Next, head anywhere that you can find the Seeker guard type and take his spear/halberd. Fast-traveling to the San Marco district of Venice will put you right in front of a Seeker every time.

Once you have a spear or halberd in your hands, surround yourself with guards and perform the Sweep attack by holding the [Armed Hand] button for a moment and then releasing it. Like Throw Sand, this move will be interrupted if you are hit during the charge. This is most effective against standard guards (all three ranks) and Brutes. Trying to Sweep Agile and Seeker guards can cause difficulties.

Clumping the guards close to you is vital, so try to find a narrow space in which to stand and have the enemies crowd around you tightly. Then let loose a sweep and the reward is yours.

You do not have to hit all five guards in a single sweep. However, you must knock down a total of five before the first ones knocked down have finished getting back up on their feet.

Man of the People (10 GS, Bronze)
Toss more than 300 florins on the ground.

Keep using the Throw Money ability until you receive this achievement/trophy.

Kleptomaniac (10 GS, Bronze)
Pickpocket 1000 Florins.

Keep using the Steal ability until you receive this achievement/trophy.

dougiethe1derboy wrote:

Red Light Addict (10 GS, Bronze)
Spend 5000 florins on Courtesans.

Hire courtesans a total of 34 times. Many people will naturally get close to this number just by playing the game normally. The 5000 florins must be spent on a single save file.

If you don't want to wait, this can be done quickly and easily in any location where there are two groups of courtesans in close proximity. Forlì is one such place. Simply hire a group of courtesans, then press the Head button button to tell them to stay put. Run over to the next group and hire them, which dismisses the first group. Tell the second group to stay put and run over and re-hire the first group. Repeat until you receive the achievement/trophy.

Assassin For Hire (10 GS, Bronze)
Complete your first assassination mission for Lorenzo Il Magnifico.

Complete any Assassination side mission.

Perfect Harmony (10 GS, Bronze)
Tint your clothes with those colors: Wetland Ebony and Wetland Ivory.

Just like the description says. Head over to Forlì and purchase the Wetlands Ebony or Wetlands Ivory dye, then purchase the other one. You do not have to puchase both of them from the same tailor or even in the same session, but you do need to purchase both on the same save file.

Art Connoisseur (10 GS, Bronze)
Buy a Painting from Florence and Venice.

As simple as it gets. Purchase any painting from any Art merchant in Florence and any painting from any Art merchant in Venice. You can purchase more than one painting in Florence before purchasing a painting in Venice or vice versa.

Victory lies in preparation (10 GS, Bronze)
Get all Hidden Blades, Item Pouches and Armor upgrades for Ezio.

Pretty self-explanatory. The earliest you can receive this achievement/trophy is Sequence 10.

Show your Colors (10 GS, Bronze)
Wear the Auditore cape in each city.

Unlock the Auditore cape by collecting all 100 feathers. Equip the cape in the Inventory menu of the Animus Desktop. Fast-travel to every city/town, then exit Romagna from the southern-most exit to reach Apennine Mountains. Once you have set foot in every area of the game (not including Rome) while equipped with the Auditore cape, you will receive the achievement/trophy.

To be absolutely clear, you are not required to wear the Auditore cape in Rome.

The Birth of an Assassin (20 GS, Bronze)
Be reborn as Ezio Auditore Da Firenze.

This is received automatically during the first segment of the game.

Arrivederci Abstergo (20 GS, Bronze)
Break out of Abstergo.

This is received automatically during the first segment of the game.

No-hitter (20 GS, Bronze)
Kill 10 enemies while remaining in conflict without being hit.

There are two ways to do this – the hard way and the easy way.

The Hard Way
The hard way is the most obvious. Simply enter into combat and do not exit combat mode until you have killed 10 guards without taking a hit during the entire process. There is no time limit but you cannot leave combat at any point. If you're down to a single guard and he runs away, combat immediately ends even if several more guards are rushing towards Ezio in the distance.

Regular guards are cowards and flee easily, so managing enemy morale is key. Brutes have nearly infallible morale; it takes a lot to make them tuck tail and run. Always keeping at least one Brute in combat with you makes this much easier. Once you've killed off all the other guards, just start backing towards another group of guards as your Brute follows. Keep blocking his attacks until you've reached the next group of guards, who will join the fight. Kill them off while leaving your Brute alone and then drag him over to the next group. Repeat until you've killed 10 guards in a row without taking a hit.

Being notorious makes this process much easier. Forlì is a great place for this as most of the guard groups are stationary and are spaced evenly, yet relatively close together. The layout of the streets also makes it very easy to manage the number of guards you attract, as you the more you have attacking you at once, the tougher this will be to pull off.

The Easy Way
This is so easy that it's borderline cheating!

Once you have Smoke Bombs, just go to any location with a lot of guards and start a fight. If you don't have the attention of at least 10 guards, just back your way toward another group of guards while blocking all of the incoming attacks from the current group. Once you have at least 10 in combat with you, drop a Smoke Bomb and switch to the hidden blades. Dispatch as many enemies as you can, taking them out in pairs whenever possible. Do this in low profile; the high profile jumping assassination animation takes far too long for you to kill enough enemies before the Smoke Bombs wear off.

It may be possible to take out all 10 guards using only one Smoke Bomb, but in most cases you will need to use two. As soon as they start waking up from the first one, throw down another immediately and resume the stab fest. If you run into any issues, you have a third Smoke Bomb to throw down just in case. If you fail your attempt after using up all three, simply refill your stock at the nearest blacksmith and try again.

timing requirements for combo kills is very relaxed due to low armor on disguised guards. you can basically slaughter everyone with button mashing.

Doctor (20 GS, Bronze)
Perform an Air Assassination on a Poisoned NPC.

Very easy. Poison any NPC, even a civilian, then climb up onto a higher surface and perform an Air Assassination (face or lock-on to the target, hold [High Profile] and press [Armed Hand]).

Vitruvian Man (20 GS, Bronze)
Unlock all 20 pieces of Subject 16's video.

Locate all 20 Glyphs and complete their puzzles. The video will play automatically in the proper sequence and with sound.

If you're sure that you've completed all 20 puzzles yet the video is still incomplete, you have simply missed completing one of them. Press the [Start] button and go into the database and examine any location that normally contains a Glyph; this will allow you to activate whatever puzzle you haven't yet completed. Solve the puzzle and the completed video will play. You will receive the achievement/trophy automatically near the end of the video playback.

a good way to get no hitter without smoke bombs is on the assassination mission for stefano bagnone. start a fight inside the courtyard, but then take the fight outside so that stefano doesnt flee. if you mess up, quit the memory to try again.

Spoiler: Highlight to view

timing requirements for combo kills is very relaxed due to low armor on disguised guards. you can basically slaughter everyone with button mashing.

suggestion: maybe move the missable achievements to the top and mark them as such. that way someone doesnt have to read the whole article to pick out such critical information. no hitter is missable. are there others?

what? no hitter isn't missable. you can do that whenever you want.
the only one that you can miss is flyswatter

Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will in fact calm up

That is correct.

I have added "Missable" to the listing so that it's easy to see at a glance.

For Red Light Addict, you can probably just say that if you use courtesans to distract the guards blocking the codex page when you go to obtain it, you can increase the florins you have spent on them quickly. You collect roughly 20 of the 30 codex pages in the game? So that's 3000 of the necessary 5000 florins needed to get the achievement. Then you can use the literal "red light" strategy (stop, spend, stop, spend, etc.) in Flori to get the rest of them. That way, all the money you spend wouldn't be going to waste.

Another good place to use the "red light" strategy would be the Brothel in Florence. In the back of the brothel, there are three sets of courtesans that can be used for this strategy, so it would go much quicker than in Flori.

Money in AC2 is hardly going to waste. Smile Besides, that's already essentially covered by this:

Asaic wrote:

Throughout a standard play through the game, most people will probably use courtesans here and there and get in the vicinity of 30 or so hires by the end. If they've read about this achievement/trophy before completing the game, they'll know to use them as often as it's convenient, and for those not reading about it until they've completed the game and didn't hire many along the way, they will see the quick strategy to 'catch up'.

This doesn't work. There are two groups, not three, and as soon as you dismiss one by hiring the next, they wander off and cannot be re-hired. You have to run far enough away for them to respawn, then you have to run all the way back again. This translates to not being any faster than the Forli method (which has you run in a loop with a courtesan group at each end). Furthermore, Florence's layout in this area is a lot more convoluted than Forli, making it take more time overall.

That's good. There's reason to believe that those who missed Fly Swatter will get another chance in the Battle of Forli DLC:

Also, the flying machine is back!

Here's a quick way to pick up Kleptomaniac. Gain some notoreity and go find a Herald. Bribe him, then pickpocket your 500 Florins back from him. (plus whatever he already had) Do that twice and the Achievement/Trophy is yours.

If you are on the Xbox, press the Xbox guide button (the big xbox symbol lol), then left, then select achievements, then scroll up or down till you find Assassins creed and press a.

Alternatively, go to Xbox.com, sign in with your Windows live id, then click your username, to go to your "My Xbox" game. You can then click played games to see a list of all the games you have played, you can then click Assassins Creed. I hope this helps, sorry I can't help for the PC or PS3.

Thanks to SBIzokronus for the fantastic sig!

Asaic, I'm thinking of doing what you've done here for AC: Brotherhood. Just wondering, I'm noob at BBCode, and what I do have is very limited. The things I want to know are:

  • Make straight horizontal lines.
  • Have the links that you can click on to bring you straight to that portion of the page (green ones)
  • Make a "Return to Top" button.

Thank you. If I know how to do these things once, I can pretty much do them forever, so it's not like you have to write that all over again. As you can see, I pretty much have gotten the hang of Lists. Thanks again.

NVM, I can see what you did by "Quote"-ing you. Thanks to stabguy who told me that.

Thanks for this guide and hints. Helped me get a few of the last ones.

One thing that I tried and was really bummed that it didn't work... I wish you could use a broom as a "long weapon" for the Sweeper achievement... but, alas, you need the spear. If you steal a broom and try it, it acts like a hammer/shovel/hoe/etc. Would have been more poetic to get the Sweeper with a broom. FLAE's eye roll
