Just wondering if anyone knows why or has a solution for this. The only two TVs (both are the old box type ones not LCD or Plasma or anything fancy) in my house that I can hook the 360 up to don't seem to work very well. The screen appears off to the side on the larger TV, so far that it cuts off half of the notoriety bar at the top. The other TV fits correctly on the screen however all text is too small to read on the screen... If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I have tried a few things but nothing has worked. Although I expect the solution to be get a new TV.

A lot of newer games have text which is designed to be viewed in HD and had little consideration given to the ability to view it in SD. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about those games.

What kind of connection do you have between your 360 and your TV? Are you using component video? If so, is the switch on the cable set to SD?

Does the 360 connect directly to the TV's or through a VCR or DVD player?

Also, make sure the TV's are not set to widescreen/16:9. This feature will not work well for SD. It is primarily meant for ED.

Asaic is right about this. Dead Rising had this problem and my TV back then was a SD set.

Why have one blade in the crowd when you can have two?

Thanks Asaic as always your post was very informative. On the smaller screen where everything is displayed it connects directly to the TV and on the larger screen it connects to a... component hub I guess, it allows us to connect several things such as a hi fi system, video player and the 360, or a number of other things. As for the Wide screen ill look into it but I didnt see an option for it in the TV settings but in the 360 i toyed with the display settings and i made sure it went back on normal, wide screen of course made it worse.
