Missing Templar Lairs

So I've been playing through AC2 and I'm almost done with the game, but I've gotten held up because I don't have access to the templar lairs. Funny thing is, I have the deluxe edition with all of the content and the lairs are in my game files. This wouldn't be a big deal if the lairs didn't count towards full sync, but they do so it's really bugging me. I'm currently held up speaking with Ubisoft support and they have no clue what's wrong so for now my progress in the game is at a standstill.

I thought maybe this was a PC only issue, but I remember the same thing happening to me on Xbox and on the forums people using every platform available have complained about this too. My question is have any of you experienced this, and if so, did you ever end up finding a fix for it?

(This game is old so if you don't want me reporting a bug on here just let me know and I'll delete this post)

Are the Templar icons at least on the map? If memory serves me correctly, I believe it was a big red Templar cross.

I wonder if you either have to activate them via a code that came with the game or if there's an in-game prompt that triggers them to be activated. I can't remember if the latter is just my mind messing with me or not.

The icons aren't on the map but if I approach the lair there's a cross on the door, and I for sure have the files for the lair.

I thought so too, but since I have access to everything else in the Deluxe edition (battle of forli and bonfire of the vanities) without needing to use a code, apparently I should automatically have access to them. I think the fact that I have most but not all of the content is what has Ubi support stumped.

Hmm that's strange. It sounds like a bug. I couldn't find anything online about it, although it's apparently a common problem across all platforms. Hopefully Ubisoft can do something more for you. I'll let you know if I manage to dig something up until then.

It definitely is a bug, I've come across heaps of people that its happened to but no solutions I haven't tried already. Kind of funny that its happened to me more than once on both PC and Xbox though. Thanks for the help mate, I'll keep looking for a fix Smile

I remember the cross already is on the door in the original game, so that might not guarantee anything.

UPDATE: Ubisoft support couldn't figure out why I was having this problem, so they gave me a key for the Templar Lair DLCs and everything works perfectly now! I suppose it was a problem with the game key itself not activating everything it was supposed to. So, if someone ever has this issue, take it up with Ubi support and if everything you try fails, just ask for a key.

It makes me really happy that I can finally truly 100% this game Smile
