I just did about 4x the usual amount of my workout routine. Good God that is painful but refreshing.

Ugh I failed so hard on squats yesterday. It was terrible.

Cutting sucks.

As the Angry Video Game Nerd once said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Our THB assassination techniques must be popular seeing how other gamers are copying/ripping off some of them. For example the Youtuber StealthGamerBR (same guy who made that Dishonored kills video JoeyFogey posted) performed the exact same eagle strike on Julien du Casse as Stabguy.

His video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgg2ZCI0zeo#t=372
Stabguy's video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqcsFa3gCjM#t=90

Also there's another Youtuber who made videos earlier this year of AC2 stunts and eagle strikes, most of which are direct copies of ours.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFVPFyOk3IG0bK4rHpW3z4N4TCClt3yxM
The main differences are he starts the videos at the beginning of the mission and they're in HD. As far as I can tell there is no mention of the original THB videos or where he got the ideas.

On the bright side, we must be popular!

It was amusing to watch the AC2 stunts and eagle strikes. Before each one I'd wonder, "Is this going to be Ian's, Aurel's, or one of my own?"

You won't even feel the blade.

Take a look at the final clip in this video (timestamped 0:50).

Somehow Giuliano de' Medici was saved from getting stabbed here.

Anyone else going through withdrawls?

For the past few years AC was releases on the last Tuesday in October (yesterday).

Mostly, I'm going to miss not having the game for my extra hour of weekend video gaming this weekend due to daylight savings time ending...

I wouldn't call it a withdrawal but I am really siked that Unity is close to being released!
Playing Shadow of Mordor and watching some old assassination videos on this site just increases my excitement for Unity.

Let's hope it will live up to the massive hype.

Wow! I never thought my vote would actually matter, but it did this year!

Growing up in Oregon, watching the coverage the Presidency was always won before Oregon was tallied. And as a kid, that's all you pay attention to. Then I moved to the Bay Area, first San Francisco then Berkeley, where elections are a formality, as the left always wins.

Now, looking at the results for CA District 52, I voted in the tightest race in America. A difference of 752 votes out of 144,110 (at time of posting) for the house seat. That's 50.26% vs 49.74%.

Not to get into politics at all, I'm just glad to have done my civic duty and actually have it matter this time.

I encourage THB members to get into politics and even say things for or against the candidates. Please fact-check political statements before posting them here. There's a bunch of nonsense that gets blindly "shared" on Facebook every day.

One of my local elections (Honolulu City Councilmember) was very close: 16,371 to 16,324. It looks as if the candidate I voted for squeaked out a victory in that one. Although my favorite candidate for the seat was eliminated in the primary election. Dougie's lightning

They have a click-through link at the end so you can watch the actual musical. I figured this would be best watched in this order.

You can't play AC1 too much.

Now for my actual comment;

All Co Op missions in Assassin's Creed Unity are theoretically possible to play and beat by yourself - provided you just have decent Gear. And most of them are; as proven by the fact that I've Solo'd at least every Co Op mission once... Except for one.

One of the Co Op Missions in this game is really annoying. I'm so close to 100%ing this game (so I can walk away from it for a long time and just play Dust: An Elysian Tail until Ubisoft patches Unity enough to warrant a 2nd Run from me) and I just can't do it.

It's called The Tournament and at a certain checkpoint it asks the player(s) to collect a number of flags in a time limit. The problem is, this was clearly designed for at least two players but without much consideration for anyone who'd want to Solo it. The flags only spawn when you've picked up certain others, and I'm sorry but the Parkour controls in Unity are just terrible for Upward and Horizontal movement. They certainly repaired (or generated) their Downward Movement, but did they realistically have to break the rest of their movement to make up for it? Or perhaps it's just the way the obstacle course is designed in terms of level geometry but Arno seems to not love flowing through it all that fluidly.

I'll look up a YouTube video and see if anyone has Solo'd this mission before me, but if not then... I'm going to need somebody's help :/

That blows. Is there gear that helps free-running and movement? For example, gear that increases jump distance or running speed? That might help, wouldn't it?

As far as I'm aware, I don't think so. Most of the Stats that items like Boots or Coats affect have to do with;
- Low Profile Noise
- High Profile Noise
- Takedown Noise
- Fall Damage

But nothing that increases jump distance or speed - if there is, I haven't found it yet but if anyone does, I'd love to be informed.

Well our opinions are typically captured in walls and walls of text rather than sentences like "Ubisoft can go fuck themselves with a rusty fork." I quite like the sound of the latter though.

Pretty much how they became assassins.

Altair: Raised from birth to kill.

Ezio: Avenges the death of his father and brothers. Spends a few decades hunting down everyone involved. Before going after the main person responsible it's revealed to him many of his allies were secretly part of the assassin order, at which point he's sworn in.

Connor: Has a personal vendetta against Charles Lee for burning his village. Sent by TWCB and trained by Achilles for a few years. Puts on the robes and becomes an assassin.

Edward: Wears the assassin outfit out of greed, but is discovered by the Templars and left to rot. Learns from that and sides with the assassins.

Arno:

Spoiler: Highlight to view
After drinking from a cup, is deemed worthy and becomes part of the Order.

After what the previous have been through, it's amusing.

So the big deal on PS4 this black friday was PS4+Last of Us digital download + GTAV for $399.

I'd never play GTAV... so I managed to piece together my own deal... PS4 for 329, Last of Us for 23, and 1 year of PS+ for 40... so a little cheaper and I get something I'd use (PS+) rather than something I won't (GTAV).

Also, Shadow of Mordor is on sale a lot of places for $25 if you're into that kind of thing.

So yes, next week I'll have my PS4... so I'm on a time crunch to finish Rogue, haha... (it doesn't help that this is weekend number 2 in a row that I can't play).

Just rambling.
