So the Complete/Game of the Year Edition of Assassin's Creed II is being released.

Is it just me, or does anybody else get slightly annoyed when extra content is added to a game when it does well so those who wait it out for a cheaper price and more content get more from the game than those who are fans of the series and buy the game when its released.

I think I'm right in saying this extra content was present on either the Black or White Editions but its still pretty annoying as they're really expensive.

Sorry for the moan but it was just something that came to my attention. I'm considering selling my normal copy of ACII to buy this "complete" edition but that would probably mess up my saved data...? (I think)

Also, are the extra mission sequences and secret areas available anywhere else ie. via download?

Yeah, XBLMarketplace and whatever Sony calls theirs both have the DLCs available. The more expensive version of Sequence 13 has the Templar Lairs included with it.

And it shouldn't mess with your saved data.

oh so its just Bonfire of the Vanities and The Battle of Forli (with the secret templar lairs optional)?

Thanks very much. When I finally get PSN set up I'll download them I think.

Cheers for the help Smile

One more question Tongue

When you download the DLC packs are they put into the correct part of the game? I presume they are seeing as they are actually missing sequences that are basically jumped during the main game so are part of the complete story but I'm just wondering Tongue

Thanks

Yep.

Yep, providing they're downloaded before you complete Sequence 11, they'll start as if they'd always been there. Otherwise, they'll be unlocked after you complete the game.

Ah cool. I've completed the game once and playing it again. I'm before sequence 11 I think so it should work.
Thanks Smile
